Will ICWAI be a good option for an IT professional (Business Analyst)? Will there be national or international opportunity or should I opt for other course?

Hi,I am an MBA (Finance/Marketing) and a B.Com graduate, working in an IT services comapany on a Banking project (for 20 months ) as a business analyst where i am involved in BA work as well as QC work.I want to pursue some courses which will enahance my Finance capcbility as well as IT skills. i want to enahnce my International opportunity also. (Note: I don't want to pursue CFA programm at this moment as it is very expensive).I was thinking about ICWAI course because it has good value and is quite cheaper. they also provide some incampus placements. will it be beneficial for me and fetch some more opportunity natianally as well as internationally or should i pursue some other course? Please suggest

I dont think ICWAI will add any value to your career and qualifications.
You have already done your bachelors and masters in finance and is working in a good profile in an company for alst 20 months
If you plan to do ICWAI , you will obviously get admission in the intermediate course, but it will require you do spend lot of time studying for clearing 6 papers at intermediate level
You also have to do 100 hours of compulsory computer training
plus you have to undergo practical training for three years .

So its better that you save some money and straight away do CFA as this will add value to your CV and profile and will help you get good national as well as international job offers

    • No, ICWAI course doesn't add any value to your finance and marketing ability.
    • Since you have completed the masters, it will be better if you optfor the job rather than doing a course.
    • Though you will get he direct entrance in intermediate, but it willconsume your precious 3-4 years.
    • Icwai course is related with the cost and work accounting, theydoesn't have anything to do with the finance /marketing.
    • Though CFA is an international course, but it's quite difficult andexpensive.
    • You can pursue the CA course, it will be in your budget and good course.
