Whether a candidate is eligible to appear in CPT or directly in Intermediate exam without having qualification in Accountancy?

Hi all...
I am a B.E graduate..I didn't pursue accountancy in both my U.G and school level..
I scored 80% above in U.G with maths as one of the subjects..
Should i appear for CPT or directly can i appear for intermediate exam..???
