    When GATE application form will be release? How can I prepare to crack GATE entrance exam? Information about the exam?

    First of all,your not eligible for GATE exam.Because your studying 3rd year of b.tech course.Only final year students and candidates who complete the course are eligible for GATE exam.

    Generally Application forms will be available in the month of September and exam will be in the month of January ,February(for some groups).

    GATE exam score is important now-a-days not only for joining M.Tech courses it is also important to get into PSUs. Many government companies like BEL,BHEL,ISRO,HAL,Power Grid recruits the candidates based on GATE score.So start your preparation for GATE from this year on wards only.

    To crack GATE exam fundamentals of your subjects is very important.So have good knowledge at fundamentals.Practicing of previous years questions papers also help you.

    Dear Friend,

    GATE stands for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering. It is a gateway to all M.Tech. programs as well as most of the Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs). I have mentioned below the important dates for GATE.

    Online Apply: During September

    Admit Card Available: December first week

    Exam date (online): 3rd Sunday of January

    Exam date (offline): 2nd Sunday of February

    Result date: 15th March

    After result announcement, you have to apply individually to colleges and organizations for admission and job respectively. At many places you need to apply beforehand. So, be alert on it.

    As you are from Mechanical Engineering, I would suggest you to practice problems from R. K. Jain's Objective book as much as you can.
