    • The new curriculum for the Degree course in Architecture B.Arch will be introduced gradually as under:
      • First Yr. B. Arch. Course from June 2009
      • Second Yr. B. Arch. Course from June 2010
      • Third Yr. B. Arch. Course from June 2011
      • Fourth Yr. B. Arch. Course from June 2012
      • Final Yr. B. Arch. Course from December 2013
      Intake: 40 students
      Duration: 5 years
      Eligibility Criteria:
      Students seeking admission to First year of Bachelor’s degree course in Architecture must fulfill the eligibility criteria laid down by Govt. of Maharashtra / Council of Architecture as applicable from time to time.
      Present requirement:
      No candidate, with less than 50% marks in aggregate (45 % percent for reservation (SC/ST) category seats) shall be admitted to the architecture course,
      • unless he/she has passed an examination at the end of the new 10 + 2 scheme of Senior School Certificate
      • Examination or equivalent with Mathematics as subjects of examination at the 10 + 2 level OR
      • 10 +3 Diploma (any stream) recognized by Central / State Governments with 50% aggregate marks. OR
      • International Baccalaureate Diploma, after 10 years of schooling, with not less than 50% marks in aggregate and with mathematics as compulsory subject of examination.
      All admissions to architecture degree course shall be subject to passing of National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) Conducted by the council of Architecture. (For further details log on to www.niasa.org)
      The following shall be the weightage: Architectural Aptitude (NATA): 50% (Maximum) Qualifying Examination: 50% (Maximum)
      Fee Structure 2011-12
      Regular Rs.85,000/- p.a.
      Management Rs.100,000 /- p.a.
      NRI US $ 5200/- p.a.

      Rules for examination and course structure for F.Y.B.ARCH is as per revised syllabus 2009 where as for S.Y.B.ARCH onwards,2005 syllabus structure is given which is currently implemented for respective batches.

      1. Examination pattern: Annual pattern
      2. Examination system
      At each examination,
      • Paper shall be one head of passing
      • Sessional / Sessional and oral based on sessional work, as prescribed in the subjects shall constitute one head of passing.
      3. Standard of passing (2009 pattern)
      A student shall be promoted to higher class only if he has scored minimum 40 % marks in each theory head and 50 % marks in each Sessional / Sessional and Viva-voce head for admission to Stage II of the course:
      • Candidates admitted to the course shall complete the first stage within five years of admission to the course.
      • The pass percentage shall not be less than 50% in the aggregate marks of FY, SY and TY. at the end of Stage. I
      Standard of passing (2005 pattern)
      A candidate to be eligible for the Degree of Bachelor of Architecture will be required to appear for and pass examinations as under:
      Examination Consisting of
      1. First Examination in Architecture (F.Y.B.Arch.) Part I & II
      2. Second Examination in Architecture (S.Y.B.Arch.) Part I & II
      3. Third Examination in Architecture (T.Y.B.Arch.) Part I & II
      4. Bachelor of Architecture, Final Part –I (One Year),
      Part –II (Six Months),
      Part –III (Six Months),
      4. RULES OF A.T.K.T. (2009 pattern)
      As a general rule a student shall be allowed to keep the next year of study of the course if he/she has a backlog of not more than FIVE HEADS of passing in the preceding year.
      • A student shall be allowed to get admitted to Second Year B.Arch. course if he/ she has a backlog of not more than FIVE HEADS of passing in Theory / sessional / oral examination at First Year B.Arch.
      • A student shall be allowed to get admitted to Third Year B.Arch. Course, if he/she has no backlog of First Year B.Arch. and if he/she has a backlog of not more than FIVE HEADS of passing in Theory /Sessional / Viva voce examination at Second Year B.Arch.
      • A student shall be allowed to get admitted to the Fourth Year B.Arch. course, if he/she has no backlog of Second Year B.Arch. and if he/she has a backlog of not more than FIVE HEADS of passing in Theory /Sessional / Vivavoce examination at Third Year B.Arch.
      • Fourth Year and Final Year are considered as integrated Stage II of the course and hence students will be allowed to take admission to Fifth year irrespective of the number of subjects in which they are failing at Fourth Year.
      The pass percentage shall not be less than 50% in the aggregate marks of Fourth Year and Fifth Year at the end of Stage II.
      RULES OF A.T.K.T. (2005 pattern)
      • A student shall be allowed to keep term for the S.Y.B. Arch. Course if he/she has a backlog for not more than 3 heads of passing of the total number of heads of passing Theory Examination and not more than 2 heads of passing in sessional / oral examination or backlog of not more than 3 heads of passing in sessional / oral or 2 heads of passing in theory exam at F.Y.B.Arch.
      • A Student shall be allowed to keep term for the T.Y.B.Arch. course if he/she has no backlog of F.Y.B.Arch. and if he/she has a backlog of not more than 3 Heads of passing in Theory Examination and not more than 2 Heads of passing in sessional examination and / or oral examination or backlog of not more than 3 Heads of passing in sessional and / or oral and 2 Heads of passing in Theory examination at S.Y.B.Arch.
      • A student shall be allowed to keep term for the Fourth Year B.Arch. if he/she has no backlog of S.Y.B.Arch. and if he/she has a backlog of not more than 3 Heads of passing in Theory Examination and not more than 2 Heads of passing in sessional examination and / or oral examination or backlog of not more than 3 Heads of passing in sessional and / or oral and 2 Heads of passing in theory examination at T.Y.B.Arch.
      • A student shall be allowed to keep term for the Final Year B.Arch. if he/she has no backlog of T.Y.B.Arch. and if he / she has a backlog of not more than 3 Heads of passing in Theory Examination and not more than 2 Heads of passing in sessional examination and / or oral examination or backlog of not more than 3 Heads of passing in sessional and / or oral and 2 Heads of passing in Theory examination at Fourth Year B.Arch.
      5. Awards of class
      The class at the end of each Year should be awarded to the student on the aggregate marks obtained by him. The award of class shall be as follows:-
      • Aggregate 66% or more marks: First class with Distinction
      • Aggregate 60% or more marks but less than 66%: First class
      • Aggregate 55% or more marks but less than 60%: Higher Second class
      • Aggregate 50% or more marks but less than 55%: Second class
      • Aggregate less than 50%: Pass class subject to criteria of passing
      • The pass percentage shall not be less than 50% in the aggregate marks of FY, SY and TY at the end of Stage I.
      CLASS OF STAGE II EXAMINATION SHALL BE AWARDED ON THE BASIS OF PERFORMANCE OF FOURTH AND FIFTH YEARS TAKEN TOGETHER.
      The pass percentage shall not be less than 50% in the aggregate marks of Fourth Year and Fifth Year at the end of Stage II.
