The selection of Subject in 11Th class is very much important as it is foundation for your higher study courses like engineering , medical. Selection of Subjects is actually depends on your interest and your understanding.
The following Subjects combination is important for that particular field :
For Medical Field : Physics + Chemistry + Biology
For Non-medical : Physics + Chemistry + Mathematics
Now you have intrest in MATHS and BIOLOGY , so I will recommend you dont omit any of the this subjects and take following combination :
Physics + Chemistry + Mathematics+Biology
The above combination will help you in scoring in 12th as the both subjects you like and also you can decide which field you can take after your 12th.
Hello Friend,
You can take the Biology with maths group which contain the following subjects,After completing this group you can go for both Medical and engineering fields. So Biology with maths group which increase your mark in 12th std.You can get admission in Medical field. For getting admission in medical field Maths,Physics,Biology marks important.
- Maths
- Physics
- Chemistry
- Biology
You can go for Engineering admission related to Medical field like following,For getting admission in thses field Maths and Biology subjects are needed. So you can also continue your studies in Engineering also with Biology-Maths group.Study well as per your interest.
- Genetic engineering
- Bio-medical Engineering
- Biotechnology
ALL THE BEST
Hello,
You can go for Science with biology and maths, many schools provide such combinations,,, bit tough but not impossible,,
little bit more efforts are required in studies...
You will have all the doors open for you if you go with bio & maths with science, PMT & PET both..
You can go in any field as you want..
All the best

Many students have to deal with such dilemma after their 10th.It is always better to go about what you are interested in.Luckily in your case you can do what you like without sacrificing anything.
Why dont you opt for both Maths and Biology. Some students avoid taking Maths but I do not consider that a wise decision.Maths is a very useful subject and if you do not take Maths you may end up repenting in the future.Even for Medical based courses like Genetic engineering and Bio-Technology,Maths is important.
So you should take the medical field along with Maths
Many of the students suffer this problem or face it at some point of time after 10th results are out
I am suggesting you a proper solution that will solve both the problems
Take this combination :
Physics+ Chemistry + Mathematics+Biology (Optional Subject or 4th Subject)
This Combination is available in ICSE board and other state boards also
this will help you to appear for both Engineering and Medical Entrance examinations after 12th
Medical Entrance exams that you may appear after 12th
- AIPMT
- AFMC
- AU AIMEE - Annamalai University-All India Medical
- BHU - Banaras Hindu University Medical Entrance Examination

- KLE PGAIET - KLE University Post Graduate All India Entrance Test
- SRM Institute of Science and Technology Medical Entrance exam
- Haryana PMT - Haryana Pre-Medical Test
- Manipal PMT - Manipal Pre Medical Test
- UPCMET - Uttar Pradesh Combined Medical Entrance Test
Engineering Entrance Examinations That you may appear
- Indian Institute of Technology Joint Entrance examintion (IIT JEE)
- All Indian Engineering Joint Entrance exmaintion (AIEEE)
- Birla Institute of Technology and Science Examination (BITSAT)
- Delhi Combined Entrance Examination CEE
- National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA)
- Madhya Pradesh Pre Engineering Test (MP PET)

May be it is required to chance your board in 11th and 12th from CBSE
But don't worry... it will not be a problem!! Go with it ....... Change your board if necessary
It will help you to appear in both engineering and medical entrance examinations !!
then you can go in the field in which you may wish!!
WISH YOU GOOD LUCK!!!!!
i love maths and i m also very good in it.., but i also like biology but i don\'t like to memorize so much as required in this subject......my Aim is to become an IAS . Which subjects should i choose?
Though, you have secured good marks in both subjects but now think broadly.
Whether you like Medical Field or Engineering Field.
If you like Medical Field, then you must go with Biology.
But if you like Engineering Field, then you must go with Mathematics.
This is very important decision, you have to decide your subject on the basis of your interest in the field.
My Friend if you like both the subjects then i suggest you to keep both the subjects in your 11th .
Because you are a bright student so that you will manage both the subject .
After 12th if you will not get good marks in one subject then you will have the other option so it is better for you to keep both the subject .
After 12th if you want to become a Engineer then you should select Maths subject and quit the Biology subject .
but if you want to go in medical field then skip the maths though you good in maths .
So first of all you decide what you want to become , Engineer or Doctor .
If you still confused then keep both the subject .
best of luck
Hi,
You have interest both in mathematics and biology, a very rare combination I must say. Now one thing here that I must mention over here is that are you judging your potential in mathematics on the basis of the marks that you got in your 10th standard? Or is it a fact that you have got a good amount of marks in this subject all through your classes up till your board examinations. Because sometimes people may judge their situation according to the current status which may fall otherwise in the long run.
Why I am saying this because, based on your mathematics marks I would ask you for going into engineering branch. But the branch of engineering will not only require potential in mathematics but it also require the analytic mind of physics. Physics also has a good amount of mathematics. Are you through with that part? If you are good in both these aspects then I would not ask you to go into medical. Also medical line nowadays has very low potential from job point of view.
Engineering branch is a very booming area nowadays. Right now, you can take your subject combination of Physics and Biology in your in main subjects and keep Mathematics as your 4th subject. Give the JEE or IIT or EAMCET whichever you prefer and rank accordingly to get chances in good engineering colleges.
HELLO ASPIRANTS ,
dear you take both subjects with your intrest for maths and biology
you take both because after 12th many option open for you and you go medical and non medical
You can go for Science with biology and maths, delhi govt.school must take this combination and some private school give sach combination PCMB little bit hard but not impossible
little bit more efforts with PCMB and all the entrance exam door open for you if you go for both subject maths and biology PMT and AIEEE
you go for any field ...
WITH REGARDS MAHI

Dear aspirant if you have interest in both then you should take both in your 11th that is PCMB . You will have many options to choose for after 12th if you opt fot his combination.
But you have to work really hard if you choose this combination because these four subjects are really tough and require a lot of time.
But as you said you have interest in them and when a person enjoys the subject it becomes easy subject for that person.
BEST OF LUCK...
hello dear,
inter level is the strong foundation of career,so you have think many times before taking any step towards career, you are in dilemma of taking whether maths or science, you love medical right and you also love doing maths, not engineering, and also your marks in science are quiet more than in maths in your 10th so you can choose medical stream that is subjects with
biology +physics+chemistry
if you want more options you can choose m.bi.pc. then after 12th you have many options to go with, at that time you can go with the branch you like
consult your seniors for more perfection
think not twicw many times before going to take a decision
all the best
Can you suggest me which school provide combination of Maths Bio Chem. Physics??????????????
Dear Friend,
As You have interested in Mathematics and Biology is good. But You should choose any one subjects for your career. But if you want to take both subject then you can take Biology and Mathematics subject.
Also must Know with Biology subject, you can make your career in Medical field. With Mathematics Subject, you can make your career in Engineering Field.
Any subject is just not Easy,But you have to must hard work, practise to get success in perticular Field.
Good Luck
Regards,
Dharmesh
Its great that yo have interest in both.
You need not get confused. do either of the two options:
1. see which field provides you what and then go for it,,
a) if you go for PCM, you can go for engineering, air force, navy, banking, non-medical fields.
b) going for PCB, you will be eligible for army (not air force and navy), banking and all medical related fields and also, nano tehcnology or bio engineering.
so decide as per that.
2) second option is that These days Physics chem maths and bio -all four are becoming a very popular option..
with this option, you will be going for your choice , you will find both interesting and
you can have many many options after 12.
Good luck !!
