    Re: What is the minimum qualification required and eligibility criteria to appear for IAS/IPS examination?

    my dear..............

    the minimum qualification required to appear in IAS or IPS examination conducted by UPSC is graduation in any discipline from a
    recognized institution.

    the student who studied three years after 12th they are eligible for IAS or IPS examination.

    PUC is the course which is for two years duration after 12th. so i think this is not equivalent to graduation. this is an intermediate course
    before university. so after PUC you will not be eligible for IAS or IPS.

    the other eligibility criterion for IAS and IPS is your age should be in between 21 to 30 if you belongs to general category. for reserved
    candidate there are relaxation in age as per government rules. you must be Indian resident.

    for more eligibility criterion and other details about IAS and IPS examination visit the website http://www.upsc.gov.inthe notification will be
    also publish in this website and in leading newspaper.

    best wishes.

    To become IAS officer a Degree completed 21 years age candidate has to apply for CSE(Civil services Examination) which is conducted by
    UPSC(Union public service commission) this UPSC is a govt body which is committed to recruit the top brains of India to place them in high
    positions like IAS/IPS/IFS etc., which are shortly called as civil services

    As this is a central Govt job competition for this very heavy so this is the reason why it is so rigor to get into Administrative services.

    Among the 23-26 civil services

    IAS(Indian Administrative service) is top one

    following IPS and IFS etc.,

    Details of examination :

    It is a three stage pattern exam
    -> Prelims(Now CSAT)

    ->Mains

    ->Interview.

    For Prelims all the candidates will have common syllabus where you have to definitely clear this stage to get promoted to the next stage

    In the Mains stage you have to select two optional subjects in which a descriptive test will be conducted.

    After clearing this you will have to face a personal interview in front of professional recruiters.

    After clearing all these stages you will be given a rank and with that rank you should able to get your desired service.
