each & every topic mentioned in the iit syllabus is important....go through deep knowledege about the each topic to cract the iit entrance...best of luck..
In maths the main topics are
trigonometry,differential and integral calculus
In physics
Mechanics,electricity and magnetism..
prepare well best of luck..
IITJEE syllabus is broad and they have freedom to ask from any topic. So don't go for short cut and try to cover whole the syllabus as prescribed in the brochure. All topics are equally important, son don't waste your time in thinking such stupid things and study all the topics very deeply. Good Luck

Hello Dear,
To get into an IIT is a dying Dream of most of d students in India which equivalently makes it too tough and competitive equally.IITJEE syllabus is vast it covers many topics. So many Students also have to study the books of Engineering Mathematics and Advanced Engineering Mathematics after completing the prescribed books of their Board Exams and then completing the competitive books like M.L Khanna and books of Arihant also.
It is the same for Physics also.If a student is preparing for IITJEE then he/she has to be through in each and every Topics he/she faces while reading.Because you are competing with highly talented and intellectual fellows from all over the country of the same age as you.You can't leave/skip any topic while preparing for IITJEE and any other Competitive examinations.
That is the only reason why these Exams are called as Competitive Exams.
Ok dear.So work Hard. The effort which you give now will definitely bring you its results accordingly.Have faith in God.Focus on your Studies only.Dont get distracted by TV and all other stuffs coz these are the general barriers for students while preparing for Competitive exams.
Manage Time Well.TIME is a very important Factor that can make a lot of difference. So please utilize time in the Best Way you can do.You will have your Results satisfying accordingly.
BEST OF LUCK
BEST WISHES FOR A BRIGHT FUTURE.
First of all ,There is no short-cut for success.
For IIT-JEE exam each & every topic is important
your basics should be uptodate .
Have NCERT books 4 this.
Some chapters of 11th class are very important for understanding the chapters of 12th class. In Maths, Sets and Function, Trigonometry, Limits and Differentiation, Coordinate Geometry are very important and then do entire 12th syllabus. questions may be asked from any topic. so try to revise all topics and always remember one thing : "GOD helps those who help themselves".
Firstly I will say, keep clear basics knowledge so that you will not fill any hesitation when new type of question you will be asked in the exam.
Secondly, do not left any part of the syllabus. Try to get into it.
Thirdly, practice makes a human perfect. so every day spend some time with new questions, It will definitely enhance your thinking ability.
fourthly, confident. Don't think you can't do it. Low confident is like cancer..... so, don't loose your confident. Go for it.
Good luck..
Hi Mohit,
When you talk of IIT you should try to cover each and every portion of your syllabus.
But still, there are few probable topics on which comparatively easier (strictly speaking) questions are asked. In Physics, the Projectiles, the kinematics as a whole is important. As a whole +1 physics is very important.
As far as the Maths is concerned, the trigonometry, the Probability, the Permutations and the Combinations are very important.
The books you should follow for Physics are H C Verma (both parts), MTG Physics For You magazine.
For Maths, Arihant Subjective(all the books), arihant objective.
i guess its better u solve more and more numerical problems from old question paper and u slve, log, limits, differtiation, integration.. and for physics circular motion, gravitation,

there is no exact important topic as every topic is important......be strong in every topic and try to solve questions of each and every topic.....
try to cover the whole of the syllabus, which would difinitely help you in cracking IITJEE...
BEST OF LUCK...
hi...

Dream set of books to complete my board exams and competitive books like ML Khanna and Arihant books to meet the mathematics.
The physics for also.If a student is preparing for IITJEE, he / she has been through each and every subject he / she faces from all over the country while you reading.Because highly talented and intellectual are competing with peers / the same age as you leave do not leave any subject while preparing for IITJEE and any other competitive examinations can.
This is the same as the test of competitive examination is called.
There are the usual obstacles to IIT preparation for competitive exams. When you should try to cover every part of the course.
But still, there are some possible topics that relatively simple question (strictly speaking) is called. In physics, projectile, as a whole is important in the kinematics. Physics as a whole is very important.
As far as mathematics is concerned, trigonometry, probability, permutations and combinations are very important.
Books you should follow for Physics HC Verma (both parts) are, for you physics journal MTG.
Mathematics, Arihant subjective (books), Arihant for the purpose.
Manage time Well.TIME a very important factor that the best way you can do.So using a lot of time according to our results is satisfactory.
