Re: What is IBPS exam and what is it's purpose?

    hi,
    dear friend,

IBPS or The Institute of Bank Personnel Selection (IBPS) initiates the conduct of Common Written Examination (CWE) for the purpose of selecting the best candidates from all across the country. Any person who desires a post of a clerk or a probationary officer requires a valid scorecard of the CWE. The logic behind conducting such an examination is to eliminate the lengthy selection process for all the banks in India and hence, establishing a pervasive approach to ensure that the results are obtained through a channelized source of test. In absence of a valid scorecard of IBPS examination, no candidate shall be entertained by the banks, unless and otherwise, specifically mentioned.

so, if you want to make your career in banking sector then this exam is for you....

    all the best.........

    Dear,

IBPS stands for 'Institute of Bank Personnel Selection' and it organizes departmental or promotional exams
as well as the recruitment in 19 centralized banks for the following posts:
    - Clerical Post
    - PO/Management Trainee
    - Specialist Officers/IT Officers

Some of the 19 centralized banks are:

    - Bank of India

    - Bank of Baroda
    - PNB
It is not involved in recruitment activities for SBI or any of its subsidiaries.

IBPS conducts a Common Written exam for the recruitment in any of the 19 banks and whenever
any vacancies are available in these banks then you need to fill up the form and you'll
be asked to enter the marks achieved in this Common Written exam called as CWE.

Based on the score achieved in CWE, you'll be shortlisted for GD or Interview to be conducted by the Bank in
    which vacancy is available.

    Hope this information is useful.
