    What are the exams, date of exam and application procedure for Railway jobs being a B.Tech student?

    i am btech 3rd year student want to know about railway job. i just wanted to know what type of exams should i undergo? When will those exams be conducted? How to apply for those exams?

    soon after ur btech, u will have the chance to enter into railway dept.. as an officer/engineer

    u have to apply for RRB exam and clear then depends upon the zone u belong for

    You are already eligible for Railway Job. But after getting you B. Tech Degree you can apply for the Manager Engg/Maintenance Manager/ Engineer post. But for all post you have to appeared Railway Recruitment Board Examination. The questions are MCQ (Multiple Choice Question). There is negative marks for each wrong answer. For more informaton you can see the Employment News which is publised once in a week. Or you go through Sarkari Naukri Samachar.

    you must have to seat for the railway entrance exam conducted by the RAILWAY RECRUITMENT BOARD . the syllabus pattern includes the following for engineers:

    1.general English
    2.general engineering
    3.verbal/non-verbal/logical reasoning
    4.technical section
    5.general mathematics

    age bar: 29yrs for gen. candidates

    salary: 29,500/- in your training period.

    so go for it.

    Age Limit:-

    1.Candidates must be between 18-25 years as on 1st Jan, 2013.
    2.No relaxation in lower or upper age limit for any category of candidates.


    Education Qualification:-

    1.For Group C Category candidates must 10th pass out or graduation from any recognized University.
    2.For Group D Category candidates must be SSC or 8th passed out.

    Pay Scale: Eligible candidates will get a pay band of Rs 5,200-20,200 with Grade of Rs 1,800-2,800.

    General English: -
    The candidates appear for the various written exams or any competitive exams. In every written exam General English is an important part of any competitive exam. In General English questions such as on the topic of: Grammar, Vocabulary, Synonyms, Antonyms, Use of prepositions, idioms/phrases, Fill in the blanks etc. Candidates should well prepare on these topics. Candidates can take help from the internet or previous papers of railway exam.


    Mathematics:-
    In every competitive exam, mathematics is very important exam. Basic mathematic exam based on 12th standard. There will be negative marking for wrong answers marked by a candidate in the objective type question papers. Candidates who appear the railway examination they should well prepare for the exam. Candidates must not lose the confidence during preparation.


    General Intelligence:-
    General Intelligence paper based on reasoning and the aptitude skills. General Intelligence papers judge your aptitude. In General Intelligence questions such as on the topic of: Series, Mirror and Water Images, Grouping of Identical Figures, Paper cutting and folding etc. Hard work with knowledge will take you a step forward to the success.


    Physiological Test: -
    Physiological Test design for those candidates who appear technical exam in Railway. Physiological test applicable for three categories: - Assistant Station Master, Motorman and Assistant Loco Pilot. These Test for measuring your intelligence.
