the eligibility for IAS is that u shoud have any graduation pass..and i think it be more helpfull if u takeBA
in graduation because u will have a little better knowledge then taking other groups in graduation ..

and the procedure is that u need to write an exam named as group 1 and u need to get good marks and this marks r also bassed on caste system 1.e for example uif u belong to any low cast like st or sc u need to get around 250 above and if u belong to high caste u need to get more marks and for that u ned to work hard and after qualfingagain iu need to give another test it's named as mains and primes and after that u need to attain the interview and once u pass the interview after few month u r given the post .. where they have the vancance..

Re: What is the eligibility for IAS?Procedure of the examination?

IAS comes under the category of UNION PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISION that deserves the age limit to be between 21-30 years that requires a minimum bachelor's qualification froma recognised university like subjects-animal husbandary and vetenary, botany, chemistry, mathematics, physics, stat istics, bachelor's degree of agriculture.and need to persue a little administrative qualities by nature that a person can develop over a period as it will suit the profession.moreover the interview part matters a lot as it requires presence of mind.there are upsc websites to know more about the exam IAS details.the exam fee is -100 rupees and an exception for SC/ST category of people....fill in the application form wioth the attachment of the bachelor's degree certificates or atleast mention it with some proof details......
