The Lok Sabha or House of the People is the lower house of the Parliament of India. Members of the Lok Sabha are elected by direct election under universal adult suffrage. The Constitution limits the Lok Sabha to a maximum of 552 members, including no more than 20 members representing people from the Union Territories, and two appointednon-partisan members to represent the Anglo-Indian community.

The Rajya Sabha or Council of States is the upper house of the Parliament of India. Rajya means state and Sabha means "assembly" in Sanskrit. Membership is limited to 250 members, 12 of whom are chosen by the President of India for their expertise in specific fields of art, literature, science, and social services. These members are known as nominated members. The remainder of the body is elected by thestate and territorial legislatures. Terms of office are six years, with one third of the members retiring every two years.

    thanks.

The difference between Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha :
    1) Lok Sabha is a lower chamber where as Rajya Sabha is an upper chamber.
    2) Lok Sabha shall have maximum 552 members where as Rajya Sabha shall have maximum 250 members.
    3) The members of Lok Sabha are elected on the basis on Adult Franchise where as the members of Rajya Sabha are elected by the Legislative Assembly of each state through proportional representation.
    4) Lok Sabha has the power to introduce the budget of the country where no such powers are given to Rajya Sabha.
    5) The member of Lok Sabha should be of 25 years of age to be a member of Lok Sabha where as one should be of 30 years og age to be a member of Rajya Sabha.

I think such differences are enough to clear your doubts..

    GOOD LUCK

Lok sabha is house of people and is directly elected by us (the people) by process of direct voting The ones whom we select can be seen in Lok sabha.
    max members=550.

whereas the rajya sabha is selected by legislatures of the state. out of 250 members, 12 are nominated by President of India on the basis of their great contribution in field of art/literature etc.. SEE SACHIN TENDULKAR is a member of Rajya sabha.. Here he is

The maximum age for LS member is 25 years and is 30 years for Rajya sabha !
One special power is ONLY LOK SABHA deals with budget related matters and rajya sabha does not !!
