Re: What can I do to become District Collector being 3rd year EC engineering student?

first you need to complete your btech.
After you complete your btech you will be eligible to sit in the UPSC civil services aptitute test

    Min age -21 years
    Max age-30 years

OBC gets 3 years age relaxation and SC/ST gets 5 years age relaxation.
Number of attempts-04 for general candidates, 07 for OBC candidates and no restriction for SC/ST candidates

After you appear in the the Prelims exams and clear it than you have to give the mains exams and if you clear it than you have to appear for the interview.

After this the final ranks are prepared.
If you are in the top 75 students than you will be alloted the IAS cadre.
To become District collector you have to be in the IAS cadre.

If you join IAS cadre than after 3-4 years of working you will be posted as District collector
