    Dear friend,
    I will advice you not to read any new book in the last 30 days , you should just go through the previous year question papers and practice as much as you can.
    You should also give full stress on time management because very much depends on it.
    For quick revision you can join the crash course or you can just go through you notes you have maintained.
    Best of luck......

    Hi Buddy,

    Since you have mentioned that you only have 30 days to prepare. Make sure you know how to crack the GATE exam. There will be three different sections in GATE

    1. Aptitude
    2. Maths
    3. Theory

    To clear Aptitude you must prepare R.S Agarwal books Quantitative Aptitude, Logical Assertion and Reasoning.

    For maths you must follow S.Chand publication books of maths i.e Mathematics - I and Mathematical Methods.

    For theory you must prepare various books depending upon the stream only based on your stream you must follow standard books.

    For any exam to clear Basics are must so make sure you concentrate on Basics.
    All the best.

    to prepare well for the gate exam , one should have good command in all the core subjects

    it is because all the questions are from core subjects only .
    so, to get a gate rank , then one should have good command in all your core subjects

    for example , if you are from ELECTRICAL stream , then you shuold concentrate on the following subjects

    >> electrical machnices

    >> power systems

    >> power system analysis

    >> power semi conductor and drives

    >> linear sytem analysis

    >> h v d c

    >> electrical distribution systems

    >> control systems

    ~~ it is also good that , if you prepare well in all the previous question papers

    Hello friend

    GATE stands for Graduate Aptitude TEst in Engineering .It is the best entrnace test for getting entry into M.Tech courses.

    As the questions are asked from the core subjects only so different books for different subjects should be referred.As you have not mentioned your stream,so I am giving some good books on my own.

    For ELECTRONICS AND COMMUNICATION ENGINEERING:

    Engineering MAthematics for GATE: GATE Engineering Mathematics by Kanodia

    and books of Sedra & Smith , Robert L Bovlestad

    For ELECTRIC ENGINEERING:

    Books of JB Gupta, Simon Haykin,NC Jagan

    For COMPUTER SCIENCE:

    Books of Narsingh Deo, SS sastry,Cormen Etal

    For MECHANICAL ENGINEERING:

    Books of PK Nag,RP Sharma,RK Bansal, RS Khurmi,Malik &ghosh

    So there are a bundle of books in the market for GATE . But above all,most important os your labour and not the books.

    So practise as much as possible for getting success as PRACTICE MAKES A MAN PERFECT.

    ** Firstofall , you should know that , the questions in the Gate exam Wll be asked from your CORE SUBJECTS only

    ~~ If your stream in B.tech is ECE , then you should be well prepared in all your CORE subjects

    ~~ If your stream in B.tech is EEE , then you should be well prepared in all your core subjects

    ~~ Like this it all depends upon your Stream in B.tech

    Later,

    * It is also goof for you , if you prepare all the Previous question papers
    * Be well prepared in all the model papers you have

    If your stream in B.tech is EEE , then you should concentrate more on these subjects

    * Electrical machines
    * Electrical distribuion systems
    * Power electronics
    * Power semiconductor and drives
    * linear system analysis
    * Control systems
    * Switch gear and protection

    If your stream in B.tech is ECE , then you should concentrate more on these subjects

    * Electrical circuit analysis
    * Electronic devices and circuits
    * Digital signal processing
    * Digital communications
    * Control systems
    * Optical fibre communications

    all the best . . . .

    Re: What are the best books for the preparation of GATE ,if only 30 days is left in the exam ?

    Dear friend,

    GATE stands for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering.

    It is one of the toughest engineering entrance exam.

    Most of the students apply for this exam for getting admission in M.Tech in Engineering Colleges.

    As only 30 Days are left behind for your preparation, so

    >> You must try to solve question papers as much as you can.

    >> Don't try to study concepts which you have already read.

    >> Focus on recently asked questions in GATE.

    Some of the Best books for preparation of this exam are:

    Re: What are the best books for the preparation of GATE ,if only 30 days is left in the exam ?

    Dear Friend,

    GATE exam will be held on 10th of February, so in the last 1 month, revision will help you in scoring more
    marks than preparing the new topics or trying to cover all the topics.
    I would suggest that give 1 full day in planning your time management as well the topics
    which you have already read.

    - Dont try to read new topics in this last month.
    - Start revising all the topics which you already have read and try to give a self evaluation
    exam to judge your preparation almost twice a week.
    - This will help you in analyzing your weak area and will help you in identifying the
    area of improvement.
    - GK Publisher books are avaialble for GATE exam which contains objective questions, practice
    questions for all the important chapters from this.
    - In case you face any issue, then some crash courses are run by coaching centres which will help you in
    revising the topics and practice for the exam.

    All the best for the exam. Give your best efforts.
