Eligibilty for the CAT exams is graduation Pass with minimum 50% marks
There is no upper age Cap to give this exam
This exam is conducted by IIM each year
This exam is held in online mode

Questions will be asked from the Below Sections in this Exams:

    >> Verbal Ability & Logical Reasoning

30 questions are asked in each sectiona nd 70 minutes time is given.

Give 1 hour daily for each section
    First study the basics
Also buy the Pearson Guide for CAT exams

    Dear Friend,

Its really good to start the preparation for any entrance exam which will help you to get better results,
but at the same time, you should keep in mind that your preparation shouldnt be on the cost of
    your BTech exam.

Before I tell you the preparation methods, its important that you should keep in mind that you should
try to score at least 65% in your Btech, because all the institutes give weightage to your academic performances
as well. It shouldnt be the case that your preparation for CAT exam is too good and you score above 99percentile
but you couldnt be sshortlisted because you had less percentage in BTech.

    Preparation Strategy:

You should first analyze the type of questions asked in CAT. These are:
    - Verbal/English Ability Syllabus
    - Quant/Maths Ability
    - Data Interpretation
    - Logical Reasoning

    - After going through the syllabus, you should start the prepration for each topics one by one.
    - Since you are currently in 2nd year, you need to put atleast 1 hour each day for this preparation.
    - You can buy few books like Qauntitative Aptitude by Arun Sharma for now and start the preparation.
    - You should also buy a complete study material from Career Launcher or IMS at this time for preparation.
    - After clearing 5th semester, you can join coaching institutes like Career launcher or TIME or if you are
confident enough for self preparation, then also you should join Test Series.
    - After clearing 3rd year, you need to put serious effort of atleast 3-4 hours, as you'll have to face the exam
    in Oct- Nov.

Dear friend,Your decision to start early with CAT exam preparation is a really good. For this first of all you have to collect detailed syllabus for the exam . The test includes questions on reasoning, QA, general awareness and verbal ability. Reading newspapers will definitely bring up your GK and general awareness. Preparation on other topics can be done by referring books or by undergoing training under any coaching centers.ALL THE BEST.
