Re: Is there anything wrong in choosing Animation as a career being a B.Tech CSE graduate?

They say this because in animation u can enter in the courses right after 12th….but let me tell u that u wud also have a preference among others if u opt for animation due to the following reasons :

1)U r a computer engineer n u have a knowledge about the various programming languages like c,c++,java which r mandatory in some fields of animation
2)Some of the institutes like Industrial Design Center (IDC), Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) and Indian Institute of Design (NID) have a strict eligibility criterion-only graduates of architecture, technology and engineering, fine arts can apply for this course…so ull win preference here also..

Now the only thing u need to know before u join the course is that u shud carry on with courses in which ull get a preference regarding ur technical skills ….am listing some courses that I feel if u do specialization in can make a very bright career ….these r :
    Digital intermediate
    Stop-motion animation
    Rotoscoping
    3D or 2D modeler
    special FX
    Interaction Designer

During ur course, regularly prepare for the placements in top companies in the field of animation like reliance media works n prime focus ……am sure ull excel in the field !

There is nothing wrong in choosing animation as your career.Afterall its your decision and it is very important that you should be confident about your decision.Animation is a developing field which is growing day by day.In todays generation animation plays a great role in attracting small children as well as youngsters.Bt it seems quite unique that you are willing for animation course after being a b.tech cse graduate. In my opinion you should do that work in which you think you are good at and comfortable, the work in which you are intersted.Animation is a great field in terms of career prospects and good future also.

First of all, go with your interest.
A very simple question one should ask, that why MBA is done after Engineering?
It's just the choice. You may do anything you want. There is no harm.
But you should be good at that.
And ANIMATION has a vast career.
    All the best.

    Dear friend,

In my suggestion you are choosing wrong career because Animation course can done by any class 12th pass students. So, I don't think so you have to choose this is your career. You can choose the M.Tech in Computer Science. In which you can also study the Animation in which you have interest. While doing the M.Tech you can choose the Robotics Line or Software Programming etc. and further you can do research in it.

Scope of M.Tech (CS): The course is designed to provide a balanced mixture of theoretical and professional training in Computer Science and Information Technology so that the students on successful completion of the course, may take up either

    1. a professional career in the technology of software for computer system or specialized application areas

    OR

    2. an academic career for further study and research in the fundamental and applied aspects of Computer Science and Information Technology and related disciplines.

    All the best

there is never anything wrong in choosing ur course of interest or whatever u excel in.
if u don't have much interest in cse or if u think that u cannot continue with it then its all ur choice. think what u want to do, which is more important and interesting for u.
think carefully. discuss with ur parents and then decide.
whatever u choose may u excel in it!
    All the best!!
