Re: Is there any harm in getting graduation degree from correspondence?

First i like to say that higher degree always have a good demand and company prefer the higher degree holder most as they have to teach them less as they are specialized on the one area.

But if there is no problem then you must do the graduation on the regular basis as most of the company prefer the regular course graduation so i like to tell you the best way of the graduation on the regular basis. but if you are a working person then there is no time for the regular course so you can opted for the correspondence course.

As when you are going for any type of the interview they will ask you about the course you have done then if you said that the course you have done in the corresponding then you have so show the proper reason behind your course. If they satisfy then they will called you or offer the job. If you then able to show that you have done corresponding course due to you were working on the some company then it will carry a very good thing about you that you want to grow more and you have done the graduation on the time of work.

So according to me there is no harm if you are on the work other wise it will be good that you must go for the regular course as in that case regular course get preference and another thing that correspondence course take more year to complete so why you want to lose one valuable year by the correspondence course.

Now it is depends on you what you like.

    All the best

    Hope this will help you

you can do the correspondence course for graduate degree but generally it is not preferred by the companies because there is not continuity in studies when you are doing the course correspondingly and also the unavailability of practical knowledge also.....
And if you are doing the correspondence course then you also miss the chance of Campus Selection....
So, if you are in job then only you go for the correspondence course otherwise its not so good......

    Hello,
I Like to say that there is no problem in doing Graduation through distance education, many students are doing this and if you are worried about the job so make sure that any recruiter ask for the talent secondly for the degree. But yes some companies less consider the correspondence degree but its not a big issue.

My friend go for the course for what you are planning but make sure you will get a good knowledge.

    Good Luck

No dear there is absolutely no problem in completing your graduation through correspondence mode because it is being done by so many candidates in India and with the help of your distance education, you may work somewhere and earn money too so that there is nothing wrong in completing your bachelor's degree in distance more but dear you should remember one thing that the university or institute must be recognized under the government of India because it is most necessary for each student that they complete their graduation from either UGC or AICTE recognized institute or university to get more job opportunities in future

    All the best

    • Any course from an correspondence mode is equally valid as the regular mode course.
    • You must note that any university from you pursuing the correspondence course must be recognised from an Distance education council (DEC) with the UGC recognisation.
    • For government sector jobs, there is no difference in importance, value and validation between correspondence and regular course.
    • Their is an benefit for the regular course when it comes to private sector jobs as they are given more preference compared to he correspondence course.

There is no harm in doing Graduation degree through correspondence.
Degree is valid and is accepted everywhere.

But since you would be doing your Graduation through distance learning mode and this means that you woul;d not be required to go to college on daily basis, i would suggest that you should utilise this time to preapare for the Governemnt entrance tests also.

So, do your graduation and also prepare for the Government entarnce tests like:

    >> SSC Combined Graduate Level exams
    >> BANK PO Exams

Both these exams can be given after completion of graduation.

You can study the below sections which are asked in these written exams:
    >> General Intelligence and Reasoning
    >> General Awareness
    >> English Comprehension
    >> Quantitative Aptitude

Re: Is there any harm in getting graduation degree from correspondence?

Dear candidate getting graduation degree by way of correspondence or through distance education is not harmful because there are thousands of candidates are enjoying the facilities as good as regular candidates within the Govt.sector like UPSC/DEFENCE/BANKING and many more. There is the only restriction your graduation degree from a recognized University ie your Correspondence education/distance education Universities must be approved by UGC.

Only courses which is related with practical classes are not appropriate for jobs like in software company .They do not prefer correspondence course associated education but a candidate get's equel status to sit for the exam like IAS/IPS/IRS/BANK Clerk/BANK PO etc.So in need this correspondence course help's student to get Degree when he/she is engaged with jobs.

    Thank You

    Hi Guest,

You just have to make 2 things sure.

First the university must have ugc recognition &

Second it must be recognized by Distance Education Council(DEC).

If the above 2 criteria fulfilled then you are absolutely safe.

    THANKS.

    Hai Friend,

Yes, there is harm in doing graduate degree in correspondence, because doing graduate degree in correspondence has no value.

So, please don't go for it.

It is better for you to do graduation in regular basis.

    All the best.
