Syntel Campus Recruitment Pattern and Syllabus
The First round will be a Online Written Exam.
The Second round will be a Technical Round.
& The Final round is a HR round.
Round 1 : Written Test
The number of questions asked in this round are 85 and time given is 90mins.
The Written test will have 3 sections in it
Section I – Verbal
You will be asked 25 questions in this group and the time given is 15minutes. The questions asked in the verbal section are not that hard to crack. You can refer Barron’s GRE guide to get some idea on the type of questions asked. Usually they ask Synonyms, Analogies, Fill up the sentences, Find the Word that has to be replaced, Form a Sentence and find the last word.
Section II – Quantitative Aptitude
You will be asked around 30 questions in this section and the time given is 45 minutes. You can refer Quantitative Aptitude by R.S.Agarwal to get some idea on the type of questions they ask. Usually they ask very simple and easy questions like : Train Problems, Age problems, Statistics Problems, Angle Problems and Etc.
Section III – Logical Reasoning
You will be asked around 30 questions in this section and the time given is 30 Minutes. So you have to be quick in Logical reasoning. Usually they ask problems on Tower of Hanoi Problem, problem on fig. find the shaded area, square of size, problem on symmetric figure, Blood Relation Problems, Find odd man out of the given series, Find the missing letter and Etc.
With this the first round completes.There is no negative marking and the total time give in 1:30 hrs.
Round 2 : Technical Round
The technical questions will be based on your knowledge and grip on any of the programming languages like C, CPP, JAVA and Etc. They usually ask questions from basics, so no need to panic much. Get a basic idea on all the subjects before you attend the technical round. Some of the questions asked previously were :
1.Difference between Virtual and Abstract Method ?
2.What is Runtime Polymorphism ?
3.What is Overriding ?
4.What is the use of a private constructor ?
5.What design patterns you used in the project ?
6.What is an interface ? Is there any relation between interface and performance ?
7.what is an abstract class ?
8.What is the difference between DataSet and DataReader ?
9.What is Command Builder ?
10.What is the Difference between Application and Session ?
11.How do you Host a Service ?
12.What is a Cursor, How do you replace a Cursor ?13.
13.What are temp tables ?
14.What is Channel Factory ?
15.what is heap memory ?
16.write a program for Fibonacci series?
17.write a program for linked list?
These are the common questions which are asking in Technical round of Syntel. Also try to refer some other basic questions like these above mentioned questions.
Round 3
The HR round in Syntel is very easy to crack if you are focused. They ask very simple questions in the HR round like :
1.Tell me something about yourself ? OR Let us know each other ?
2.Tell me something about Computers ?
3.What do you mean by frontend and backend ?
4.What are you strengths and weaknesses ?
5.Who is the founder of Microsoft ?
6.Why do you want to join syntel ?
7.Why should i hire you ?
8.What type of movies you like ?
9.Who developed java ?
10.What is your expected salary package ?
and Etc.
