    Hi Buddy,

    mba_logo.jpg

Since you have completed your M.C.A and placed in IBM and have been working for the past 2 years then you can opt out for different fields of specialization in M.B.A and the top 5 specializations in M.B.A are

    Finance
    Marketing
    Operating
    Information Technology
    Human Resources

Since you are already in software job in IBM Information technology and Human resources specialization would be helpful in making your career smooth and successful.

    Information Technology (IT):

It is one of the most recent specialization that has emerged as the most important specializations for people who are from Computer science and IT background graduates. By completing IT as specilization in M.B.A you will be absorbed as system analyst, technical systems manager, technical consultant, etc....

    Human Resources (HR) :

The most Challenging and difficult job in the whole world today which deals with selection and recruitment of the candidate to analyzing the performance of every employee and appraising his performance with increase in compensation. As the word itslef explains Human resources managing those men and getting the performance in an efficient manner is the major responsibility, just a raw material ends up as finished product a HR manager chooses his men as a raw materail and ends up making him a finished product. You will become a HR manager in an organisation.

Your MBA specialization basically depends on your personality, skills, and career goals, as already said it would be great to do specialization in HR or IT, choose the one which best suits you.

    All the best.

Well I don’t think being such a bright student, you should go for EMBA ,its not that EMBA is not a good course ,it is actually one of the best courses today especially designed for executives of various companies ,but the good colleges in India wont allow you to join the course with an experience of 2 years ….most of the foreign universities demand at least 10 years of experience for pursuing the course of executive MBA …but in India ,the requirements are somewhat less ,still in good colleges the experience requirement ranges from 3 to 7 years …..So I suggest you to continue with your job for at least a year more if not for long ,and get some really good college of MBA .

Some of the technical branches in MBA that can benefit you in the long run are:

    EMBA Information Technology (IT)
The motive of MBA information technology is to educate the people regarding the application and implementation of information technology in the businesses. Enhancing the businesses and making them more reliable and efficient is the most important function of the course. Organization and conception of planning as well as managing the businesses is the most important element of the course.
The top colleges to pursue this course from are :
IIIT Pune-International Institute of Information Technology Pune
Jankidevi Bajaj Institute of Management Studies (JDBIMS) Mumbai
National Institute of Industrial Engineering (NITIE) Mumbai

    EMBA Systems
This field of MBA can help you manage the technical requirements of the administration sector. Students are taught advanced development of IT solutions in all spheres such as automating attendance punching, putting daily sales, developing Enterprise Resource Planning solutions and distribution of data online.
Some of the outstanding institutes offering EMBA in Systems Management are :
Indian Institute of Management (all centres)
    Management Development Institute, Gurgaon
Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Pune

    EMBA Operations
This field of MBA is very similar to the supply chain management but technical companies generally prefer operations . MBA in Operations Management equips the students with complete knowledge of productivity improvement, quality and inventory control, supply chain management, production planning and logistics.Operations Management is a comprehensive production-related responsibility that includes Inventory Management, Vendor Development, and Purchase Management. It also includes areas that demand multi-disciplinary skills like Supply Chain Management and ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning).
Some of the top institutes for EMBA in Operation management are:
Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS), Mumbai,
SP Jain Institute of Management and Research, Mumbai
Indian Institute of Management (all branches)
