    Special subjects and syllabus for M.Sc in Computer Science of NET and SET exam? How to study for it?

    PG appear students can give the net and set exam..... and for MSC(comp.scie) what is the special subjects and syllabus ??? and how i study for it ? so please help me

    NET : National Eligibility Test
    SET : State Eligibility Test

    ~~ To apply for Both these examinations you have to complete your Post graduate degree course in any discipline from a recognised University

    ~~ Final year appearing candidates are also apply for SET/NET Examination

    ~~ But you have to scored minimum 55% marks in your Post graduation to apply for Both the examination.

    ~~ The examination is Conducted twice in a year and the Notification will be updated in the official websites.

    ~~ There is No Upper age restrictions to apply for Lectureship Post

    ~~ But for Junior Research fellowship Post, your age should not be more than 28 years.

    If you need the syllabus of NET/SET Computer science, then please do not worry just check the results from the given attachments.

    NET stands for National Eligibility Test which is conducted by UGC.This exam will be happened twice time in a year.

    Those candidate have completed masters degree from recognized university are eligible for NET exam.

    For general and OBC candidate must be scored 55% above in masters degree. For SC/ST candidate scored 50% above in masters degree.

    I have attached the Question paper of some NET entrance exam for Computer Science department So please check it out.Because this paper are really helpful for you.

    NET stands for national eligibilty test.NET examination is conducted by UGC four times in a year for lectureship and for the award of Junior Research Fellowships .


    Eligibility :


    - You must have got at least 55% marks in Master’s Degree OR equivalent examination from universities recognised by UGC.


    - For Junior Research Fellowship you should not be more than 28 years. A relaxation upto 5 years is provided to the candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/PH/VH categories and to women applicants.


    - There is no upper age limit for lectureship.


    Pattern of the examination :

    There will be written test consisting of 3 papers


    Paper-I will consist of 50 objective type questions of general nature to test reasoning ability, comprehension and divergent thinking of the candidate and of marks 100.


    Paper-II will consist of 50 objective type questions on the subject chosen by the candidate and of marks 100.


    Paper-III :: It consist of 4 section :


    1.Write a critique of a given passage.
    2.Fifteen questions will be asked on the syllabus of Paper-III(A).
    3.Questions will be asked on all major specializations / electives and the candidates will be asked to choose one specialization / elective and answer the five questions from it.
    4.Essay writing
