    1. You can search on the website www.iiitjee.nic.in for any reference material...
    2. You can buy some sample paper or practice paper from market....
    3. You can also take coaching from some institutes for getting good rank in iit.....
    4. Or you can also be self-confident during exam....
    And so,, best of luck................

    Re: Reference books and materials for the preparation of IITJEE 2012?

    Never use too many books.Always study from one or at most two good books.First study a chapter from a text book and only after finishing from text book, you should use any guide or reference books You should not buy all the following books.Buy one text book and one IIT-JEE guide in each subject.
    Recommended Books:
    1. NCERT-books;
    2. Concept of Physics-by H.C.Verma : Exercises and solved numericals of this book are of high quality;
    3. Plane Coordinate Geometry- by S.L.Loney: Contains detailed treatment of the subject.But style of presentation is a bit old fashioned.
    4. Objective Mathematics- by R.D.Sharma
    5. IIT-Maths-by M.L.Khanna;
    6. IIT Guides-Tata McGrow Hill Publication;
    7. MCQ Maths-by Das Gupta(Bharti Bhavan Publication);
    8. PHYSICS Part 1&2-by Resnik and Halliday;
    9. Book by IRODOV for Problems in Physics.
    10. Maths books by K.C.Sinha from Student's Friends Publication: Books by this author is meant to be used as reference books only.
    11. Books and Guides of Arihant Prakashan:There are several titles available for IIT-JEE in this publication.Choose the suitable one that fulfills your requirement.Books in "Objective Approach..." series and "New Pattern IIT..." series are particularly good.
    12. Books and Guides of MTG- Publication:There are several titles available for IIT-JEE in this publication.Choose the suitable one that fulfills your requirement.

    well, the count down for IITJEE 2012 has already been started you should be thorough in practising previous question papers and model papers rather than concentrating in one particular area. Anyways the study material of Aakash is preferable for the IITJEE Exam.

    Look there are lots of reference books of different publication which are always there to help the students.But the students should approach to them when they have a good command over all the fundamental and the basic concepts.Most of the students without completing their text books rush for the new and color full books .Most of the students have a misconception that color full and objective type book are always good than the others.
    But its not the truth you should pay equal attention towards the conceptual books also
    some of the good reference book for the preparation of IITJEE are given below:-
    -H.C Verma(vol 1 and Vol 2), physics
    -pradeep fundamentals of physics and chemistry
    -Arihant mathematics
    some of the good objective type reference books for IITJEE are given below:-
    -Arihant objective mathematics and physics
    -GRB,O.P tondon for chemistry
    best of luck...........

    Re: Reference books and materials for the preparation of IITJEE 2012?

    Hello Dear,
    There are too many books available in the market for IIT JEE exam and therefore the aspirants for IIT JEE always have problem choosing the best books.As i was also preparing for IIT JEE in the year 2006 and got an all India rank(A.I.R) of 2575.So i hope my advice will also help you.First study the NCERT books of class 11 and 12.This is the backbone of your study plan as IIT JEE syllabus follows the CBSE i.e. NCERT syllabus.If you don't have these books or are not from CBSE board then click on this link to download all the books of NCERT CBSE mainly physics,chemistry and mathematics chapterwise.The link is http://www.ncert.nic.in/NCERTS/textbook/textbook.htm .Please download them.Then after studying these books topic wise,go for solving problems from NCERT books topic wise.Once you start attempting these questions,you would know what is your strength and weak areas.For the weak areas/topics,you would need to consult the IIT JEE reference books to strengthen your concepts.The reference books for IIT JEE subject wise are:-

    For Chemistry:-
    1. For Physical Chemistry - Numerical Chemistry by P.Bahadur(G.R Bathla & sons).
    2. For Physical Chemistry - Physical Chemistry by O.P Tandon

    Re: Reference books and materials for the preparation of IITJEE 2012?

    Books for reference for the preparation of IITJEE-
    PHYSICS-
    NCERT textbook
    HC Verma part 1&2
    DC pandey
    Halidey Reshnick

    CHEMISTRY-
    Morrison Boyd for Organic chemistry
    JD Lee for Inorganic Chemistry
    Narendra Awasthi for physical chemistry
    NCERT textbooks

    MATHS-
    RS Agarwal
    RD Sharma
    ML Khanna
    NCERT text books
    SL Loney

    I will personally advice you to first go through the NCERT text books and then refer to the other books mentioned above
    Try to stick to a single writer book to avoid confusion.

    You can also refer to the study material of the some of the reputed coaching institutes like Vidyamandir classes, FIITJEE, Career point ,Resonance etc
    You should also try to solve the last year question papers and time management should be taken care.
    Best of luck....
