    IPS is one among the different post which come under the Civil service exams which are conducted by UPSC every year. To apply for IPS exam you need to have completed your Graduation from a Recognized university.

    Civil Services Main examination

    The main written examination usually takes place in Oct-Nov, it comprises of 9 papers in all (a lot more strenuous than CAT!) Duration of each paper is 3 hrs.

    Language: one of the Indian languages, English, Essay GK and Current Affairs: 2 papers on general studies

    Optionals: papers from two subjects that fall in optional-1 and two papers from optional-2 (a choice of subjects is listed by the UPSC in the prospectus) Candidates who are successful in the main examinations are eligible for an interview which plays a crucial part in the selection.

    IPS stands for Indian Police Service :

    This is conducted by the union pubic service commission under the civil services exams and for become a IPS officer then required educational qualifications are you must completed the graduation from recognized university and required age limit should be 21-30 year and here age relaxation for reserved category candidates as per govt rules.

    If you want to become a IPS officer then you need to write and qualify the testes conducted by the civil services examination they include preliminary examination and main examination and interview. Apart from first conducted the preliminary examination and this exam consists of 2 papers and first paper is general studies and the second paper is optional subject selected by the candidates.

    IPS Stands for Indian Administration Service Examination and this examination is conducted by Union Public Service Commission . This year prelims examination was already completed and Next announcement will be publish in the month of February OR March in the official website of UPSC / Employment news .

    Eligibility Criteria for IPS ::

    ## Possessing the bachelor's degree or post graduate degree with any discipline of recognized University or equivalent qualification .
    ## Both Men and Women candidates are eligible to apply for IPS Examination .
    ## There is no specific percentage bar required for Indian Police Service Examination .

    There is no specific exam for IPS, you have to apply for Civil Services Examination.
    Civil Services Examination is conducted by UPSC every year for the recruitment of candidates for the post of IAS, IRS, IPS.

    The basic eligibility criteria for Civil Services Exam are as follows:

    The candidate must hold any degree in any discipline from any recognized university

    This exam conduct by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) every year.It is a kind of administrative service in India.


    Eligibility Criteria...
    To appear in this exam age should come between 21 to 30 years.
    OBC category candidate can appear upto 33 years and SC/ST can appear upto 35 years.
    Minimum qualification is graduation from a recognized university for this exam.
    General category candidate can appear Four times, OBCs can appear Seven times in the exam.

    If you want to apply for this exam then you should have a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university and age should not be less than 21 years and more than 30 years and relaxation in upper age as per government guidelines which is 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC category candidates

    Examination Pattern :

    Preliminary Exam - Objective type - 2 papers for 400 marks

    Mains exam - Conventional type, 9 papers for 2000 marks

    Interview Process - 300 marks

    The exam conducted for IPS is same as for IAS, which is condcuted by UPSC every year.

    IPS stands for Indian Police Services. The Examination is conducted by Union Public Services Commission (UPSC) each year.

    This exam also comes under civil services exam. Through this exam you can apply for the post of IAS, IPS.

    There are three stages which you have to clear in this exam in order to become IPS officer. The three stages are:

    1)- Preliminary Exam,

    2)- Mains Exam,

    3)- Personal Interview.

    Preliminary exam is also called as Prelims exam also referred as CSAT (Civil Services Aptitude Test) exam.

    Nice to see that you're interested in IPS Entrance Examination.

    IPS stands for (Indian Police Service) and this Entrance Examination is Conducted by Union Public Service Commission for every twice in a year.

    Students from graduation course in any stream from recognized university are eligible to apply for this IPS Entrance Examination. There is no Minimum marks required for this Entrance Examination.

    The Minimum age should be 21 years to 30 years and relaxation will be applicable for sc/st candidates as well as OBC candidates.

    The Applicant should be Physically as well as Medically Fit according to the physical Standard for IPS Entrance Examination.

    candidates who have completed their graduation with atleast 60% of the marks can apply for the IPS exam.IPS exam comes under the civils services exam.These exams are conducted by the UPSC.And this exam consists of Two papers
    1)Preliminary exam
    2)Main Exam
    candidates who can clear these two rounds are called for the interview.And the candidates who have passed the interview are appointed as IPS officers.
