    Hi friend,

    Qualification requiered for PCS exam is as follows :

    Educational Qualifications
    The candidate should possess a bachelor degree in any discipline from a recognized university or institution; Provided that the candidate may be permitted to take preliminary examination while studying for the qualifying degree. However, the candidate shall be required to produce proof of qualifying the degree course for being eligible to take the Main Competitive Examination.

    Age Limit
    As mandated by Punjab Civil Services Rules 1976, as amended from time to time, the candidate should have attained the minimum age of 21 years and should not have attained the age of 37 years on the first day of January of the year in which the last day falls for submission of application to the Commission. In other words, the candidate should have attained the age of 21 years but should not be older than 37 years on 1st January 2012.

    There are various PCS exams conducted by various states.

    The general age limit for PCS exams:

    Minimum 21 years.

    Maximum: 30 years.

    The relaxation is given for obc: 3 years.

    Same for SC/ST: 5 years.

    Qualification: graduate in any subject.

    As you mentioned here are the Qualification required for PCS exam is:

    Educational Qualifications:

    The candidate appearing for this exam should posses a bachelor degree from any recognized universities or institutions.

    Age Limit:

    The minimum age for appearing this exam is 21 years and not exceeding more than 35 years of age.

    For Sc and St candidates the relaxation for appearing in this exam is 5 years and for obc it is 3 years.

    The exam is conducted by Punjab Public Service Commission for the recruitment for the following posts :

    ## PCS & Allied Services
    ## DSP’s
    ## Distt Probationary Officers
    ## BDPO’s
    ## Treasury Officers
    ## Forest Officers
    ## All Class I and Class II posts

    Educational qualification :

    1) You have must be a graduate or in final year of graduation.

    2) You will be allowed for Preliminary examination only if you have passed Matriculation exam with Punjabi as subject or any other Punjabi Language.

    Age requirement:

    You must be in age group 21-35 yrs , five year relaxation for OBC/ SC/ST candidates. 10 yrs for disabled.

    If you meet above criteria , then you are eligible for PCS examination.

    PCS is Punjab Civil Services.
    So the minimum eligibility criteria for PCS are
    -Graduation pass from any board/institution/college.
    -Candidate must have passed 10th/Matriculate with compulsory subject of Punjabi.
    -Age limit specified is 21-37 years.
    Upper age limit is relaxable for reserved categories of Punjab.
    -Number of attempts is limited to 4. Unless covered under any exceptions.

    -Graduation complete from any college/board/university.
    -Matriculation with minimum Punjabi as a compulsory subject.

    Required Eligibility Criteria for PCS :

    You should posses a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university

    Your age should not be less than 21 years and more than 30 years and relaxation in upper age as per government guidelines that is 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC category candidates

    If you want to apply for UPSC Civil Service Examination, then I would like to tell you that this year's UPSC ICS preliminary examination has been conducted at 26th of May 2013 and mains examination of ICS will be conducted at 1st of December 2013 so you can not apply for this year's ICS examination but you may apply for next year's civil service examination so you should begin your preparation and apply next year

    Examination Pattern for UPSC ICS - 2014 :

    Preliminary Examination - 2 papers in objective type pattern and each paper contains 200 marks, qualifying in prelims is mandatory and papers are - General Studies and CSAT

    Mains Examination : Following 7 papers will be conducted in this examination in conventional type pattern

    Paper I - Essay - 200 marks and English Comprehension - 100 marks = 300 marks

    Eligibility for PCS exam as follows:

    PSC exam is conducted by pcs for posts of first class officers in the state.
    This is conducted every year by pcs..


    the eligibility conditions are

    age
    between 21 - 37 years both date inclusive.

    qualification educational:
    A graduate from any stream.The degree should be from any recognized university.

    Phyiscal standards:
    male minimum height 5 foot 7 inches
    female 5 foot 3inches

    Candidate should be citizen of india

    1.General- 4 times.
    2.OBC-7 times.
    3.SC/ST-No Restrictions.

    Punjab Civil Services(PCS)

    Educational Qualifications:-

    1) Candidate should posses degree from any Discipline. He/she neeed to provide a certificate as to prove his Degree.

    2) No candidate is eligible for preliminary examination unless and until the candidate has completed the Matriculation in Punjabi with one of the Optional subject.
