    Dear,

IPS(Indian Police Service) exam is conducted by UPSC and you must have passed
graduation from any field like Engineering, Science, Arts, Commerce or Medical to be eligible
    to apply for this exam.

If your aim is to go for IPS, I would suggest that you shouldn’t go for engineering or medical
Courses as engineering is of 4 years and Medical is of 5.5 years.

Its better you do simple graduation like BSc or BCom and start the preparation for
the civil services exams from 1styear of graduation.

UPSC conducts a common exam for several posts like IAS(Indian Administrative Sevices),
IPS(Indian Police Services) or IES(Indian Economic Services) and several other posts of Rank1
Officer in various departments of central govt.

So at this time, I would suggest, get an admission for BCom or BSc and then start the preparation

For this exam from first year and start creating interest in some magazines like CSR, Chronicle
PratiyogitaDarpan and many more magazines which are helpful in
    the preparation.

    Hello Sahil

It is nice to see you interested in IPS (i.e. Indian Police Service). It seems that you have a desire to serve your nation. Well in that case I will sure guide you in the right track.

    >> As you have completed 12th exam, you should now aim for completion of your graduation at the earliest. Without graduation you won’t be able to appear for the exam.

    >> Then after completion of your B.Com/B.Sc/B.Tech, you can sit for Civil Services Examination held by UPSC.

    >> You must be a citizen of India.

    >> Age limits: candidates whose age is between (21 years – 30 years) can apply for this exam. Also a relaxation of age is provided for SC/ST/OBC/PHD candidates:
    OBC: 3 years relaxation
    SC/ST: 5 years relaxation
