    I am BE stu. i am in TE Civil and i want to give UPSC exam after my BE. i just want to ask the procedure and syllables of UPSC Exam and more details about it

    After B.E it is a good choice to writing the upsc exam.I will list of the details of the upsc exam and its syllabus

    Union Public Service Commission
    will conduct the Preliminary Examination of the Civil Services Examination on 20th May 2012.

    The Civil Services examination 2012 comprises of two successive stages :

    *Civil Services Preliminary Examinations Objective Type Question for the selection of candidates for Main Examination
    *Civil Services Main Examination Written and Interview process for the selection of candidates for the various services and posts

    The Main Examination will consist of a written examination and an Interview Test. The written examination will consist of 9 papers of conventional essay type in the subjects.
    The Preliminary Examination consists of two papers of Objective type multiple choice questions and carry a maximum of 400 marks. There are two compulsory papers of 200 marks each. The question papers are be set both in Hindi and English. However, questions relating to English Language Comprehension skills are tested through passages from English Language only without providing Hindi translation. Each paper is of two hours duration.



    UPSC Prelims Exam Syllabus 2012


    Paper I - 200 marks
    Duration: Two hours


    *Current events of national and international importance
    *History of India and Indian National Movement
    *Indian and World Geography
    *Indian Polity and Governance
    *Economic and Social Development
    *General issues on Environmental ecology
    *General Science.

    Paper II- 200 marks
    Duration: Two hours


    *Comprehension
    *Interpersonal skills including communication skills;
    *Logical reasoning and analytical ability
    *Decision making and problem solving
    *General mental ability
    *Basic numeracy like numbers and their relations, orders of magnitude
    *Data interpretation like charts, graphs, tables, data sufficiency
    *English Language Comprehension skills (Class X level).

    After b.e is good choice to select the upsc examination.I will give few details about the upsc and syllabus.

    UPSC stands for union public service commission.This examination is conducted by central government of india.And this examination is conducted by every year.The main purpose of this examination is to recruit the candidates form various services.

    Eligibility criteria for upsc:
    >>The applicant should be a citizen of india
    >>The applicant should be complete the degree from the recognized university.
    >>The applicant age should between 21-30yrs
    >>The applicant should be medically fit.

    Number of attempts:-
    >>4 attempts for general candidates
    >>7 attempts for obc candidates
    >>No limits for attempts sc/st candidates

    Selection process:-
    >>preliminary
    >>written
    >>Interview

    UPSC stands for UNION PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION - UPSC.

    The upsc board the conducting the exams for varies posts.

    === QUALIFICATION FOR WRITING THE UPSC EXAMS.

    1. Some exams require the graduation and some exams require the 12th qualification only it depends on the post.

    2. Age limit is 18 - 30 years.

    3. Minimum 55% marks required in academics.

    4. Person should be from indian citizen.

    UPSC civil services examEXAM:


    Eligibility conditions
    Age limits: Not less than 21 years and not more than 30 years as on 1st August, 2011
    The upper age limit is relaxable for SC/ST/OBC and certain other categories of candidates to the extent specified in the notice


    Educational qualifications: Degree of a recognized university or an equivalent qualification






    IES (Indian Economic Services) Exam:Also conducted by UPSC
    Date of notification: 30/07/2011
    Last Date for receipt of Application: 29/08/2011

    You need to be between 21 years to 30 years on the 1st August, 2011.
