    Is it possible to give IAS exam next year?

    Hi sir,I am a student of Msc(IT) 2nd sem can i give exam in IAS in next year....It is possible or not..??Plz, give me replay

    You are eligible for the exam this year also because you done your graduation and now you are pursuing your master and every graduate student are eligible for the exam .
    You have not to wait till the next year , you can give it this year also .
    The eligibility criteria for the exam is below :
    -> one should done their graduation from any recognized university with minimum 60% marks for general cast , 55% for other cast .
    -> A final year student can also eligible for applying the exam .
    -> age limit is 21-30 for general cast , 3 years relaxion for obc , 5 years relaxion for sc/st/ex-serviceman / physically handicapped .
    -> maximum 4 attempts are allowed for the general cast , 7 for obc cast and no limit for the no of attempts for the sc/st cast .

    Now the exam pattern is below :
    There are three steps in the exam .
    1) Preliminary exam
    2) Main exam
    3) Interview .

    -> Preliminary exam consist two papers and one should pass this exam for qualifying for the next round .


    -> Main exam consists 9 descriptive type paper of following subjects.
    1-Any language
    2-english
    3-essay
    4&5-general study
    6&7-optional subject-1
    8&9-optional subject-2
    The first two papers marks are not considered but one should pass this two paper compulsory .

    The final selection based on the marks available in the main exam plus interview .

    So start the preparation for the exam and give it .

    infact you can give the exam this year also as you have completed your graduation

    and right now you are doing your post graduation

    IAS stands for Indian Administrative Service
    is a exam conducted by UPSC which stands for union public service commission
    once a year

    eligibility criteria for IAS exam are as follows
    you should have a bachelor's degree in any field from a recognised univesity
    you should score minimum of 55% in your graduation

    nationality
    you must be a citizen of India

    age criteria for the exam

    21 to 30 years for general category student
    21 to 33 years for obc students
    21 to 35 years for sc/st students
    21 to 30 years for physically handicapped students

    there is restriction in No. of students in IAS exam
    4 attempts for general category students
    7 attempts for obc category students
    there is no limit for sc/st category stuudents

    You are 100% eligible now also and next year also if you have not cross the maximum age limit 30.
    Graduation from any discipline is the requirement to sit for the written test..

    You have already wasted one year, so now dont waste your time and start preparing for the same and register your id on the UPSC website to get updates on regular basis..

    yes sir you are eligible for giving the IAS exam next year on the basis of your undergraduate bachelors degree because you have satisfied the minimum eligibility criteria is that you have already completed the bachelors degree.or also you can give the IAS exam when you complete your post graduate degree that is M.Sc IT.
    here are the the eligibility criteria for the IAS exam-
    1) Educational eligibility-
    the candidate who have passed the bachelors degree with 50% marks from recognized university are eligible to apply and also the candidate appearing in the final year of undergraduate and post graduate degree are also eligible for applying.

    2) Age Limit-for general category-21-30 years
    for ST/SC category 21-35 years and for OBC it is 21-33 years.
    you can attempt for 4 times for general category,7 times for OBC,and unlimited time for ST/SC.

    Hi dear
    As you have already completed your graduation so you are eligible to write the UPSC Civil Services Exam. You can appear for the exam this year also. But i will suggest you to give the exam when you are ready with your preparations as you only get 4 attempts for the exam.
    The eligibility for the exam is- A degree from a recognized University or equivalent and an age limit of 21-30 years.

    Before confirming whether you are eligible or not , First of all you should know the Eligiblity criteria of the IAS exam

    IAS - Indian Administrative Service

    Eligibility criteria of the IAS exam : -

    1. The candidates should have completed Graduation from a Recognised university

    2. The candidate's age should be between 21-30 years , for General category candidates

    3. The candidate's age should be between 21-33 years , for OBC Category candidates

    4. The candidate's age should be between 21-35 years , for SC or ST category candidates

    5.The candidate must be a citizen of india


    So, if you satify this criteria , then only you are eligible for the IAS exam

    Otherwise , you are not eligible for the exam

    There is a Restriction in Number of Attempts for the exam



    Attempts Restriction : -


    -->> For General category candidates , They will have Only 4 Attempts

    -->> For OBC Category , they will have 7 attempts

    -->> For SC or ST category candidates , they will have Unlimited number of Attempts

    But, all attempts are valid only when the candidate's age is below 35 years

    Yes you are eligible to join IAS Exam next year. Infact there is no need to post-graduation to apply IAS Exam.


    The minimum qualification needed to apply for civil service exam is having a Degree from a reconized university.


    Your age should be in between 21 to 30 years old.

    Age Relaxation

    3 years for OBC
    5 years for SC/ST and Ex-Service man




    No. of Attempt :


    For General candidates : 4 Attempts
    For OBC Candidates : 7 Attempts
    For SC/ST : No Limits


    IAS exams complete in following phases :


    Preliminary

    Main exam
    Interview

    YES.You can appear for the exam next year.For IAS examination following is the eligible condition,
    • You must complete graduation from recognized university
    • You must be a citizen of India
    • Your sge should be 21-30 years.
    So you can apply with your UG degree next year.IAS examination conducted in Two Levels,
    • Preliminary exam
    • Main exam
    Preliminary exam is the first level exam you can appear for this exam in your final year of graduation.Negative mark for this exam is 0.33 per wrong answers.You must clear preliminary exam to appear for the main exam.Prepare well for the exam.

    Yes you are certainly eligible to write the exam next year.You have to ensure that you fulfill all the eligibility requirements as given bellow:

    ~You should be an Indian citizen;
    ~You must be between 21 and 30 years of age(there is a relaxation however 3 years for OBC,5 years for SC/ST);
    ~You must have passed a degree course from a recognized university.

    A general category candidate has maximum 4 attempts at the exam.
    An OBC can have 7 attempts;
    An SC/ST can have 10 attempts;
    There is no limitation on number of attempts for Physically disabled people.

    The exam has 3 parts-
    1.Prelims
    2.Mains
    3.Interview

    Make sure you choose the optional subjects after thorough introspection.It should be a subject that you have an interest in and grab things quickly.Do not go in for tougher subjects if you are not confident with it.Whatever you choose you should know well about it.
