    Hello Dear,
The choice of stream is depends upon your choice and interest and future career plans. If you want to go in the Research field then you should go for the M.SC in Biotechnology, but if you want to go in the management related jobs then you should go for the MBA course.

Biotechnology is one of the developing technologies and the need for biotechnology student is also high.Of course u can try for the other career prospects like MBA-Biotechnology.MBA in Biotech has bright prospects. It is a 2-year program in management.Only science stream graduates those in their final year of graduation can only apply for this course. This course gives equal emphasis to both Biotechnology and management.

First you have to settle yourself in any one place. You may either stay here at India and pursue your studies or live in Singapore and study there. Then also i am writing the scope after B.Sc in Biotechnology regarding pursuing PG in India and Singapore both.

After your completion of B.Sc in Biotechnology you have various career options. You can go for M.Sc in Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Organic Chemistry, Geoinformatics, Microbiology, Bio Medical Science, Physiotherapy, Industrial Biotechnology, etc. You can also pursue PG Diploma in Clinical Research, Biotechnology(Tissue Culture), X Ray technician, Environmental Science, Agri-Biotechnology, Molecular and biochemical technology etc.

Besides this if you want to change your track then you can go for M.B.A. in Pharmaceutical Management,Hospital Management etc.

I am writing the name of the top most and best ranked institutes/universities of Singapore which provide Masters Degree(Post Graduate) and Doctorate Studies in the field of Biotechnology. The universities/institutes are:-

    1. Nanyang Technological University, Singapore
Provides Doctor of Philosophy(Ph.D) in Biological Sciences(Genomics and Chemical Biology), M.Sc in Biological Sciences(Genomics and Genetics).

    2. Ngee Ann Polytechnic, Singapore
Provides P.G Diploma in Molecular Biotechnology.

    3. Management Development Institute of Singapore(MDIS)
Provides Bachelor of Science(Hons.) in Biotechnology.

    4. Temasek Polytechnic, Singapore
    Provides P.G. Diploma in Biotechnology

    5. Nanyang Polytechnic, Singapore
Provides P.G Diploma in Molecular Biotechnology

    6. Republic Polytechnic, Singapore
Provides Diploma in Biotechnology, Biotechnology Enterprise, International Program in Biotechnology(IPBIO), Environmental Biotechnology, Food and Nutrition, Biopharmaceutical Technology.

    7. Singapore Polytechnic, Singapore
    Provides P.G. Diploma in Biotechnology.

For more information about the P.G courses at Singapore Universities including the fees, future scope, placement facilities etc. I have attached a file.
    You must read that.

I hope this will help you.

So first plan and decide properly and then start preparing for it very seriously.

    Good Luck.
    Best Wishes.

In the B.sc in biotechnology you have study the subjects relate dto the food technology, stem cell, food protection, food storing, enviormnet related , genetic engineering etc....

JOBS under the goevrnemnt departments are like:

    Colleges and universities
    Environmental specialist
    Food processing industries
    pharmaceutical companies
    Genertic engineering
    Gene thearpy
    Stem cell techniques
    DNA vaccines
    Biosensor
    Research science and technology
    Rational drug design
    Plant Based drug
    Organ transplantation

As a B.Sc biotechnology you can get jobs through SSC,UPSC,State PSCs and some of the private companies. But the better option would be to go for M.Sc..

    Thanks..
