Re: Percentage yardstick of ICSE students to appear in IITJEE?

    Dear IIT-JEE aspirant,

    >> IIT-JEE is an engineering entrance exam that was earlier conducted jointly by IITs for admission to IITs, IT-BHU and ISM Dhanbad.

    >> But now, JEE Advanced will be commenced in place of this exam.

    >> However, for appearing in JEE Advanced Exam, you will have to qualify JEE Mains exam first.

    >> JEE Mains Exam for the year will be commenced on 7 April 2013.

    >> JEE Mains Exam will be similar to AIEEE exam and will be conducted by CBSE.

    >> For more information about JEE Mains Exam, you may visit: http://jeemain-edu.in

    >> And, JEE Advanced Exam will be commenced on 2 June, 2013.

    >> Percentage Yardstick of ICSE Students is not published yet by ICSE Board.

    >> However, no. of students is very less in comparison to other boards.

    >> In the year 2010, about 29,000 students appeared for the ISC (science stream).

    >> And in the same year about 600,000 students appeared for the Uttar Pradesh board exams (science stream).

    >> So, according to Top 20 Percentile System, only 5,800 (20 % of 29,000) ICSE students will be eligible for admission to IITs, while from UP, 120,000 (20% of 600,000) will be eligible!
