    No, Not at all.

NATA is an entrance examination for Architecture courses.
So, if you want to do interior designing course, you should not write NATA.

For Interior Designing Course, you have to write AIEED examination.

AIEED stands for All India Entrance Examination for Design.

You can get more details on www.aieed.com

Re: Is it necessary to appear in NATA entrance exam if want admission in Interior Designing course?

    Dear Friend,

The National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) measures the aptitude of the applicant to study architecture. You need to write either NATA or B.Arch or both of these examinations if you want to study Architecture. The test measures drawing and observation skills, sense of proportion, aesthetic sensitivity and critical thinking ability to check that they are suitable candidates for Architecture.

If you want to make your career in Interior Designing then you should write AIEED i.e. All India Entrance Examination for Design. There are undergraduate as well as Post graduate courses available for you.

Students are selected based on a written examination followed by Interview.

    Eiligibility for Under Graduate Courses:

    1. 12th pass students or those studying in 11th or 12th can write AIEED.

    Eiligibility for Post Graduate Courses:

    1. A graduate or students in the final year of graduation can write AIEED.

To know more about it and to apply, you should visit:

    www.aieed.com

    All the best.
    Thank you.
