Which is more beneficial for B.Tech Civil Engineering graduate M.Tech in Construction or MBA in Construction management?

I have completed b.tech in civil engineering this year from west bengal university of technology. Now i want to join industry and i want to have a work experience of about two to three years. Then i want to go for higher studies. Which will be more beneficial for me to flourish in the construction sector - m.tech or mba? Which will be better m.tech in construction management or mba in construction management ? If i go for an mba in some other fields like finance, marketing or human resources etc. Will it be beneficial for me in the construction sector ? I have already given the admission test in nicmar, pune for admission to post graduate programme in construction management though i didn't succeed in it because i was not at all well prepared. Is nicmar the correct choice to do an mba in construction management because it is not ugc recognised but developed by the indian construction industry ? Please suggest me some of the colleges for doing m.tech in construction mamagement. Thank you.

MBA or mTech both take to the great height in the field of construction technology.

due to the need of skilled persons, L& T with some universities is planning Mtech in construction tech)

it is a very demand course. as u r a graduate and civil is completely practical

go for M tech rather than MBA

Mtech in constructuion is offerdd by

Bharath Institute of Science and Technology, Chennai (Tamil Nadu)

Bundelkhand Institute of Engineering and Technology, Jhansi (Uttar Pradesh)

Cochin University of Science and Technology (C.U.S.A.T.), Kochi (Kerala)

Shepherd School of Engineering and Technology (SSET), SHIATS, Allahabad (Uttar Pradesh)

    IIT's

    NIT's

    NAC,Hydrabad

    Anna university

    NICMAR

    DU (delhi university)

Center for Environmental Planning and Technology - Ahmedabad, Gujarat

after that the jobs u get are

    • Researcher
    • Chief Engineer
    • Division Head
    • Project Manager
    • Senior Engineer
    • Supervisory Engineer
    • Professor and Teachers
    • Independent Consultants
    • Director of Public Works
dont go for MBA in marketing, finance or other except const mgt if u prefer MBA.

Choose Mtch and is the best.

You Can choose Anything as per your interest. If You want To be in technical Field then go for MTEch Or if You Are Interested for Management Field, Go For MBA. I would Say Go For MBA. Because Being a Civil Engineer You would be able to perform and manage the field job very wel.

    hi,
    dear friend,
its all depends on you, if you want to make your future in technical line then go for M.TECH othewise if you want to make your future in management or administration department then go for MBA, but one advantage of doing MBA is that you get good job as well as good salary. on the other hand by doing M.TECH you can only going in the research field or either go for teaching line................

    all the best....................

    Hi Buddy,

You are having so many options open for yourself, but as you are doing a job for a period of 2-3 years then M.Tech would not be a great options since you doesn't have any touch with your education for the next few years it would tough for you to keep the same amount of dedication in you.

So i would suggest that M.B.A would be a better option as you are also having experience it will be helpful for you in the longer run.

So better go for M.B.A in construction management.

    All the best.
