Re: Minimum percentage required in 12th standard for CAT entrance exam?

CAT - Common Admission Test is conducted for those candidates who wants to get admission in post graduate management courses - MBA/ PGDBA/ PGDBM etc. so minimum requirement to be eligible for this test is graduation/bachelor's degree in any stream from a reputed/recognized university

Must have scored minimum 50% marks in in graduation and relaxation of 5% marks for SC/ST candidates

Final year pursuing candidates are also eligible to apply for this examination

If you think about 12th examination then I would like to say that must have more than 70% marks and if you have around 90% marks or over than 80% marks in all academics - 10th, 12th and degree and also having experience then you will get preference in getting admission for MBA in IIM institute or any other institute so this is my humble request to you that you try to score as much as possible because you have to make your career so do everything for it and got get a very good life after completing MBA from a reputed institute

    All the best

Re: Minimum percentage required in 12th standard for CAT entrance exam?

    • Hello friend

    • CAT stands for Common Admission Test

    • CAT is a MBA entrance exam

    • MBA is a post graduation course

    • You can write CAT exam after completing degree only

    • You can't write CAT exam after completing 12th

    • You must get atleast 50% marks in degree

    • While admission time the selectors will see the merits in 12th also

    • So I think that if you have a good percentage of marks i.e., above 60% marks is very good

    • You need not worry so about 12th marks because the admission is completely dependent on degree marks only

    • If you have completed 12th now then take BBA course, it would be the best way to join MBA after completing BBA

    • all the best

Re: Minimum percentage required in 12th standard for CAT entrance exam?

See 12th class exam is one of the most important exam and its percentage matters though not much but in some sense, actually you can get into need of your 12th class percentage any time and when you will go to take admission in higher courses at some reputed institutes than besides other things your 12 marks may also have some weightage depending on the selection policy of the particular institute. So try to score as much as possible in your 12th exams." Take it seriously".

Now as far as CAT is concerned which is a common entrance test for admission into MBA courses your 12 th class percentage will not effect your eligibility because MBA is a post graduate/Masters degree means you can do it after once your graduation that is bachelors degree is completed. So the eligibility for CAT exams is based on your percentage and qualification in bachelors degree for which you will need to have an aggregate percentage of atleast 50%, here also it is minimum so it would be best that you score more as its percentage will matter for admission in various colleges for doing MBA.

In short right now you don't have to think about CAT exam first complete your bachelors degree and your 12 th and try to score maximum so that you can get admission to good colleges for MBA easily after clearing CAT with good rank. In short you will have to work hard continiously with high percentage till you achieve your aim to get admission in one of the best college for MBA.
