    Minimum percentage required in 12th(Commerce) to be eligible for IAS exam? In which exam should I appear to be eligible for IAS exam?

    I am in std 12 (commmerce) nd i want to give IAS exam. So wats the minimum % requirement 4 it ?? nd which exms are to b gvn b4 giving IAS exmss???? Please Help....

    IAS stands for INDIAN ADMINISTRATION SERVICE. For this exam is conducted by UPSC.
    This exam conducted by UPSC through GROUP exams

    For this exam percentage is not required , so after the graduation you can eligible for IAS exam with out the matter of percentages.

    Eligibility ;
    You must have INDIAN NATIONALITY.
    For this examYou should have degree in any stream from recognsed university.
    And your age limit will be 21-30 years.
    And here age relaxation is also here for OBC 3 for SC/ST 5yrs are there

    • You can not give the Civil services examination (for IAS) with just an qualification of class 12th.
    • This examination requires you need to have completed the graduation in any discipline from an recognised university.
    • There is no minimum percentage marks requires in class 12th and graduation.
    • The age of your's must have to be between 21 years to 30 years.
    • There is an upper age relaxations for the reserved category which is as per the notification.
    • This exam have three stages i.e preliminary exam, main exam and interview.

    Hi friend,
    IAS stand for Indian Administrative Service.
    To become an IAS you have to qualify entrance exam conducted by UPSC ones in every year.
    You have a graduate degree in any stream with minimum 60% marks from any recognized university of India.
    You must be a citizen of India
    Minimum age is 21 years and maximum age is 30 years to apply the exam for general category candidates.
    OBC and Sc/St category candidates can apply the exam till 33 and 35 years of their age.
    General category students can attempt the exam 4 times.
    OBC category students can attempt the exam 7 times.
    There is no limit to attempt the exam for SC/ST category students

    Dear questioner first keep in mind a 12th standard can not do IAS exam, to do UPSC IAS exam a candidate to follow UPSC Guideline regarding eligibility of IAS.

    Secondly there is no restriction regarding minimum marks a Graduate having minimum pass marks has the right to appear Civil Services(IAS/IPS/IEs/IFS).

    Eligibility of IAs:

    1. A graduate or a final year candidate from the recognized University/institution can write Upsc IAs exam.

    2.IAS (Indian Administrative services) this entrance exam.is conducted by UPSC every year.

    3.The age; GEN: 21-30 years, relaxations are there OBC: 3 years, S/C S/T : 5 years.PWD: 10 years.

    4.Nationality: Indian.

    5.Attempts; Gen: 4 attempts. OBC: 7 attempts. S/C S/T & PWD: No limit.

    Candidates to clear preliminary/mains exam.then interview to get selection.

    These are the UPSC procedures you are to follow before applying for IAS exam.

    Eligibility Conditions for Civil Service Exams:
    You should be citizen of India or a subject of Nepal or a subject of Bhutan
    You should complete your Bachelor or Masters degree in any stream form any recognized college
    No percentage criteria
    Your age should be between 21-30 years as on 1st Jan of respective examination year
    Age relaxation is provided as per government rules
    3 years for OBC, 5 years for Sc/St, 10 years for PH etc..

    If you satisfy the above minimum conditions of civil service exam then you can apply for this exam in UPSC website http://www.upsc.gov.in
    But dear you have mentioned that you qualifications are just 12th pass, so dear you cannot apply for this exam.
    You should complete your degree from any recognized college.
    You can take coaching in best coaching institute for IAS while pursuing your degree also.

    As you are in 12th standard you are not eligible for IAS.

    If you want to apply for IAS posts than you have to appear in the exams conducted by UPSC
    The name of this exam is UPSC Civil Services Exams.

    This exam is held in three stages:
    Prelims
    Mains
    Interview

    Eligibilty to apply for UPSC Civil Services Exams is:

    Education: Bachelors Degree Pass in any stream from a recognized university

    No minimum percentage of marks is required in Graduation


    Age- Minimum 21 years

    Maximum 30 years

    OBC can apply till 33 years

    SC/ST can apply till 35 years

    Sorry , now you are not eligible for IAS exam but after completing graduation degree you can apply for this exam....



    To Become an IAS officer then you should have to apply for Civil Service Examination which is conducted by UPSC.....
