Based on 12th standard, you cannot apply for IBPS exams,So complete graduation and then apply for exams.

From the last year IBPS change the eligibility criteria for the bank clerical exam. For the clerical exam candidate must be graduate from any field. So, to write the bank clerical test you must have qualified graduation or which candidate appear in the final year are also eligible for the test.

but don't worry, SBI yet issues its application form for the 19000 clerical post where 12th standard pass candidate can apply. And you are eligible for that exam. Visit http://www.sbi.co.in

    age - 20 to 28 year
    for obc - 20 to 30 year
    for sc/st - 20 to 33 year

IBPS- INSTITUTIONS OF BANKING & PERSONAL SELECTIONS
AS you said that you have secured 59.6% marks in ur 12th standard,
but as per the rules to apply for the IBPS exams is you should be eligible with minimum of 60 to 65 % marks,
& you need to be good at MATHEMATICS.
as 59.6% its not but 60% can assure you, but once try for IBPS exam because minimum percentage required is only 560% for sure so better luck, try once.

    Hello my dear Friend ....

I.B.P.S. --- INSTITUTE OF BANKING AND PERSONAL SELECTION

In the past ... they allowed the " 12th " qualification

You must have secured a minimum of 60% in your academics

But now the eligibility criteria has changed

You must have a MINIMUM OF BACHELOR DEGREE " Even to apply for the Clerical Cadre "

Generally this remains unchanged over previous years

The New Eligibility criteria is going to have an Impact on the Overall Quality of the Exam

Re: Minimum marks required in 12th standard for IBPS exam?

    Hello Guest,

IBPS stands for Institute of Banking Personnel Selection Exam. There are three types of IBPS exam.

    1. For IBPS Clerk exam.

    2. For IBPS Probationary Officer exam.

    3. For IBPS Special officer exam.

There are different eligibility Criteria for those three exams.

    1. Eligibility Criteria for IBPS clerk Exam:

-> You have to pass graduation in any stream from a recognizing University.

-> Age of the Candidate must be in between 20-28 years. Upper limit of age relaxation For SC candidate is 3, for ST candidate is 5 and for Physically disable candidate is 10 years.

    2. Eligibility criteria for IBPS PO and Special Officer exam:

-> Candidate have to pass graduation with at least 60% marks.

-> Age of the candidate must be within 20-28 years. Age relaxation for Category candidate is as per Indian Govt. rules.

-> For IBPS special Officer exam age limit is in between 20 to 30 years.

You are not able to apply for IBPS exam.

Re: Minimum marks required in 12th standard for IBPS exam?

Dear we are really sorry to say that with your current educational qualification and status you are not eligible to apply for any IBPS CWE because minimum required qualification for IBPS CWE clerk and CWE RRB Office Assistant and Officer Scale I is a degree in any stream from a reputed institute or university that you do not have and if you think about CWE PO then you must possess degree with at least 60% marks in aggregate. Computer Knowledge also has been made mandatory for all CWEs conducted by IBPS where candidates must posses a degree or diploma or certificate in computer operation/ application/ science/ language from a recognized computer training center

So you do not posses this above mentioned qualification so not eligible for IBPS CWEs. If you had completed 12th class with at least 60% marks then you would have considered eligible for SBI clerk examination but you scored less even if you belongs to SC or ST category then you need to have only 55% marks in 12th and your MP board is enough recognized and reputed under the law so do not worry about that. If you really under SC or ST then you must begin preparation for SBI Clerk and get the job or complete your bachelor's degree and be eligible for IBPS CWEs

    All the best

They ask First class marks (60%) in 12th standard. But there is chance if you are belong to SC/ST. Because they are asking 50% for SC/ST candidates.

You can apply after your graduation. So complete your degree.

Re: Minimum marks required in 12th standard for IBPS exam?

    Hi friend,

IBPS conducts the clerk and PO exam two times a year.

The eligibility criteria for appearing the exam are:-

Qualification - Atleast 60% marks with bachelor's degree from any recognized university.

Age - 20 to 28 years. Age relaxation is provided for sc/st and obc students.

But my dear friend if you belong to Backward class such as SC/ST then you have got a fair change as the percentage of marks that are required for them is 55% only.

And also as you have got 59.6% it resembles to 60% so do try giving the exam too.

Hope i have helped you in getting relevant information.

    All the best

    THanking you...
