Re: MBA criteria for admission in IIMA?

*The minimum eligibility criteria for admission to Post Graduate Programs is that you must have 3-year or 4 year Bachelor's degree or equivalent in any stream recognized by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU)/ All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

*You must have minimum 50% marks in graduation course if you belongs to general category.( 45% in case of SC/ST/People with disabilities).

*Even if you are in final year of graduation course then also you can apply for CAT exam. However you must provide a certificate from the Principal/Head of the Department/Registrar/Director of the university/institution certifying that the candidate is currently in the final year / is awaiting final results and has obtained at least 50% marks or equivalent (45% in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/PWD category).

    Application Procedure:

To get admission into IIMs you must have to appear for the Common Admission Test (CAT) exam which is conducted at all india level once in a year. Through this exam you can get admission in top institutes of India like IIMs and other institutes for MBA course.

CAT is completely online based exam. Which is conducted at various centres in all over India. The competition level in CAT exam is very high. You need to score very high percentile in order to get call from IIMs.

If you get an interview call from any IIM then you have to go the respective IIM where you have to go through Group Discussions, One on One interview and various other selection processes.
