    Dear Friend,
No,Its not necessary that you should have Maths Subject in your 10+2 Board Examinations then only you can pursue the CA Course,Just you must clearly belong to the Commerce Stream. While,Maths Subjects is present in CPT Examinations so it should be beneficial if you will have Maths Subject in your 10+2 Board Examinations or you might have to work hard in order to get succeeded in Maths Subjects.Since,Everything will be new for you in Maths.

But.At last if you will work hard you will definitely succeed,So,Just keep going on.

    hiii friend,

1)it is not compulsary to study maths in +2 to study CA in future
2)all the candidates who studied any group in the inter are allowed to do CA
3)but to do CA you have to write the CPT exam if you qualify in that then you will be allowed to do IPCC that is the next in the CA course
4)but in the CPT exam you will have maths so it is better to take the maths related group so that this will be helpful to your cpt exam
5)if you decide to do CA in future then it is better to take the MEC group in the inter
6)if you take the above group as your group in inter so that you can crack the CPT easily

i hope this will help you,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

    Hello dear,

    No its not compulsory.

By qualifying in CPT exam you can be able to do next course in CA that is IPCC.

But for CPT you should know maths.

So in 11th and 12th you should take maths group compulsorily.

Re: Is Maths compulsory in +2 to become CA?

Don't worry Maths is not compulsory in 10+2.CA is an abbreviation of Chartered Accountant. The main areas of work for Chartered accountants include : Accountancy, Auditing, Cost accountancy, Taxation, Investigation and Consultancy.

    Eligibility for CA Entrance Exams

You should have cleared the Senior Secondary Examination (10+2). Students waiting for (10+2) results can also apply.
Students can join a CA program after (10+2) or graduation.
There is no restriction in terms of age or percentage secured in (10+2).

The CPT examination requires the candidate to secure 50% marks for qualifying.

There are three levels of Chartered Accountancy Course in India:

Entry Level Test: Common Proficiency Test
First Stage of Theoretical Education: Professional Competence Course
Final Stage of Theoretical Education: Final Course.

    Thanks..

    Hi dear,
It is absolutely not compulsory to choose maths in 12th level.

But on the contrary CA is a maths based course...
So in my opinion it would be better to choose maths as a subject.
And for your reference you will have to clear 3 courses if not a graduate and after passing 12th to be a CA
Foundation course( not required if passed graduation)
    Executive course
    Proffessional or final course
