    Information about preparation of Forensic Science Entrance Exam?

    Sub - Syllabus for Forensic Science entrance exam. im BSc zoology graduate. i am giving entrance exam for forensic science course on 25th July. But I am confused about what to study for the exam. can I get any information about what should be prpared for this exam?

    Forensic Science can be grouped into three Types:

    *Medical
    *laboratory
    *field science.


    Medical -It is a broad medical subject which includes forensic pathology, psychiatry, psychology, forensic medicine and odontology.

    Laboratory Sciences - It includes chemistry, biology, toxicology, ballistics, fingerprints, questioned documents and marks & impressions.

    Field Sciences - It includes crime scene investigation which incorporates areas such as fire and explosion scenes and clandestine drug laboratories.


    Forensic Science Eligibility Criteria

    *A Candidate should be passed a U.G graduate in any recognised institutions.The most important is a candidate can take a stream of any of these.
    *Physics, chemistry, zoology, botany, biochemistry, microbiology, B.Pharm, BDS.

    Examination Pattern

    *There will be two question papers. UGC NET Forensic Science Paper II
    It will cover 50 Multiple Choice Questions carrying 100 marks

    * UGC NET Forensic Science Paper III will have two Parts A and B.


    Part A will have 10 short essay type questions carrying 16 marks each. There will be one question from each unit with internal choice from the same unit. Total marks will be 160.


    Part B will be compulsory .The question can be asked in the syllabus only. The candidate will attempt one question from Part B carrying 40 marks.
    Total marks of UGC NET Forensic Science Paper III will be 200.

    Forensic science contains a lot of subject and if you want to crack the entrance exam of forensic science the you should give more attention towards the below given subjects:-
    -chemistry
    -biology
    -psychology
    -toxicology
    -forensic medicine
    if you will have hold over this subjects the you can deal any type of entrance exam related to forensic science.
    you should remember all the name of the medicine,their uses etc.....this will help you in entrance point of view

    dear friend here is information about preparation of forensic science entrance exam:-
    When the students are appearing for the written exam, they must be well prepared in topics relating to forensic science and its many aspects. They can also prepare for the exam by reading articles or journals related to the subject. More details information can also be gathered from the internet. At the time of the interview, the candidates must be prepared to answer personal questions as well as questions regarding forensics. They should be modest when replying.

    Hello Dear,

    Forensic scientists scientifically analyze, identity and classify physically evidence relating to criminal or suspected cases of crime.Evidence are tested in laboratories and records prepared for each case. They investigate the site of the crime to look for everyone. During criminal proceedings in court they testify and explain, with records, their findings and interpretations. Youngsters are looking for unexplored areas will find forensic sciences thrilling and challenging.



    Nature of Work:-


    The work of forensic scientists involve close examinations of samples of evidence in the laboratory using microscope, spectroscope, infrared and ultraviolet rays, etc. the collections of samples in their responsibility from the sight of the crime and this could be in the form of material evidences such as bullets, explosive etc or chemical and biological evidences such as blood, hair, teeth. Alcohol, bones etc. they also photograph the site of the crime to piece together facts and document evidences. Forensic experts specialize in many different areas. Forensic investigations are always conducted independently of the policy investigators.

Autopsy requires working for long hours.


    Personal Characteristics:-


    An aptitude for scientific and systematic investigation is required by forensic experts. An inquiring mind, logic, curiosity, systematic work habits are essential for working in this field. Forensic sciences must learn to distance themselves from the crime to keep a balance during investigation.

    I completed m.sc.organic chemistry.I was applied to the scientic assistant in forensic lab(chemist) for code no.12. How to prepare this exam&which syllubus needed for it?Along with Chemistry,which subjects I have to prepare?
