    I am happy to inform you that you are eligible for I.A.S. Exam after passing graduation with 45% through distance education..

    QUALIFICATION:- Graduation with any stream from recoginised university..
    Candidates who have passed the final year of MBBS or any Medical Examination
    but are yet to complete the internship can also appear for the Main Examination


    AGE LIMT:-


    A candidate must have attained 21 years and not be over
    30 years on August 1 of the year of examination.


    NATIONALITY:-
    Only Indian nationals are eligible for IAS and IPS.

    Hi Buddy,


    It seems like your thinking of the last and top most step of ladder but you forgot that you should climb the ladder from the very first step itself, Before applying for any of the civil services examination first you should check whether you meet the specific eligibility criteria or not, there are no special examination for services such as IAS/IPS as both these are a part of civil service examinations, if you fulfill the criteria then you're eligible to apply for Civil Services Examination, Civil services examination is conducted every year by UPSC.


    Academic Qualification :


    * You must be a graduate in any of the streams from a recognized university.


    Age limits:


    You must have attained 21 years and not be over 30 years on August 1 of the year of examination.
    The upper age limit is relaxed in specific cases as mentioned below:
    upto a maximum of 5 years if the candidate belongs to SC/ST.
    upto a maximum of 3 years if the candidate belongs to Other Backward Classes(BC's)


    Number of attempts :


    The number of attempts can vary based on the Reservation your have i.e
    - General candidates: four attempts.
    - Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates: No restriction.
    - Other Backward Classes: seven attempts.

    There examination will be conducted in Three different stages by the UPSC.


    Preliminary exam (civil service aptitude test)
    Main examination
    Interview

    Preliminary Examination would consist of two papers- Paper I and Paper II.


    Syllabus for CSAT as proposed by UPSC
    (Paper 1) (200 marks) - Duration : Two hrs
    (Paper II) (200 marks) – Duration : Two hrs

    The final interview is of 300 marks.


    Civils Exam Pattern :

    After the completion of the three stages of tests you will be tested in physically by conducting tests like running, chest expansion etc.. You must be be among the top 150 ranks in order for you to get into IPS as any better rank i.e less than 100 will open up the option of IAS.

    If you have completed your Graduation from any recognized university then it is sufficient for you to apply for IAS.


    Civils is one of the most toughest examination in India, so make reading as a habit and follow newspapers/magazines, constantly be in touch with current affairs and latest happenings, even if you're eligible take time to prepare well for the examination don't just be in a hurry to take the exam and waste an attempt.

    Hi,
    minimum eligibility criteria is: A Candidate should have bachelor degree in any stream (no percentage required) from any recognize university.
    Age Limit is 21 years to 30 years

    You should qualify the exam of CSAT 2012
    CSAT 2012 notification date: 4 february 2012
    CSAT 2012 Last date to apply: 5 march 2012
    CSAT 2012 Exam Date : 20 may 2012

    After qualify CSAT than you are eligible for Main examination
    There is 9 papers in main examination
    1 Essay Type Indian Language Qualifying Peper
    1 English Qualifying Paper
    1 General Essay type paper
    2 General Studies Papers
    4 optional Subject Papers


    after that you are eligible for Interview Stage

    To become an IAS Officer, you need to clear the Civil Service Exam which is conducted every year by the UPSC


    You must satisfy the following minimum conditions to appear in the exam :-


    1) You must be a graduate or a final year graduation student in any discipline from a recognized University


    2) You must be within the age limit of 21-30 years for general candidates,21-33 years for OBC and 21-35 years for SC/ST


    Maximum number of attempts for general candidates is 4,for OBC its 7 and for SC/ST there is no limit


    Since you have completed your B.A , you are not eligible for appearing in the Civil Service Exams though you have 45% in B.A.

    If your graduation degree is approved by UGC then you are applicable for IAS exam because in the case of IAS exam there is not needed any kind of percentage marks in Graduation degree.

    IAS Educational Qualification :any degree with 505 marks of a recognized university age limit : 21 to 30 years for general candidates 33 & 5 years age relaxation for obc & sc/st candidates number of attempts : general : 4 OBC : 7 SC/ST : no limit
