    i want to prepare for ibps exam .so please provide full information regarding syllabus .also provide some preparation trick so that i can crack this exam .

    IBPS is conducting the common entrance exam for 18 nationalised banks.


    Through which you get a score which is valid for 1 year during the period


    you can apply for the banks whenver they release the notification with cutoff score .


    Tips to follow for ibps bank exam


    1. use shortcut tricks while answering the questions


    2.try to reduce using of formulas


    3.donít attempt all questions in any section


    4.If you donít know the answer for particular problem, simply leave it to save the time


    5.In English section,answer the questions fastly(ex: in particular question he asked synomyn for the word,by


    seeing the 4 options,1 option will be blink in your mind,finalised it and tick that answer,Really you don;t know


    the answer for that question,then by thinking about it,will be waste of your time and it will not possible to get


    the answer by thinking in english section)


    6.Reasoning section will be take more time,so try to answer for some(for qualifying) questions only in this section.


    7.Donít start your exam with aptitude and reasoning sections


    8.Time splitting for each section


    General awareness: 15 min


    Computer knowledge: 15 min


    English: 25 min


    reasoning: 45 min


    Quantitative aptitude: 50 min

    for the ibps bank p.o exam you should be well prepared in all the following topics

    ~~ test of aptitude skills
    ~~ test of reasoning skills
    ~~ test of numerical ability
    ~~ test of general knowledge
    ~~ test of general english

    all the topics will carry 50 marks

    -->> you should be well prepared in all the topics
    -->> you should have the ability to solve problems in a shortcut manner
    -->> prepare well all the previous question papers

    in these days as the competition is getting highr for bank jobs ,
    so, it is good to go for coaching .
    they will tell you short cut menthods, how to face interview , etc. . .

    In order to be successful in IBPS exam you should study for at least 4-5 hours daily.Read newspaper every day for at least 1 hour.If possible then buy Times of India & make habit of reading it.for other subjects you need to practice very hard.With out practice you can't proceed further.With good practice you can understand questions easily as well as can solve at exam time.With good practice you can also increase of solving questions in exam.I suggest you to join coaching class for better result.There they will teach you short cut methods of solving questions.& will provide you study material to practice.

    Generally the bank exams are Conducted by the IBPS board which stands for Institute of Banking Personnel Selection which is responsible to conduct exams for the post of Clerk, PO and Specialist officers under 19 public sector banks in India.


    To appear for the exams you need to complete your graduation from a recognized university. You must have 21 years of age and must not be more than 30 years. Upper age Relaxations applicable for SC/ST and OBC categories. You must be a citizen of India.

    You need to first understand the structure and pattern of this exam. The exam duration is for 1hr and 45 min.


    The Exam is divided into the Objective and the Descriptive part. The Objective part consists of the topics like Reasoning, General Awareness, English and Professional Knowledge. The Objective part carries 200 marks and each question carries 1 marks and 0.25 marks will be deduced for all the wrong answers. So do not attempt answers which you are not sure of the answer as there is negative marking.The Descriptive part consists of 25 marks which consists of an essay which you need to answer in 60 minutes.


    To prepare for the exam you have to refer lots of Bank PO books and Go through the newspapers daily for current affairs , watch the English news channel's or other Education channel which will improve your knowledge. Try to learn new words daily.

    Dear sir,
    IBPS conduct the exam for banking job in which 19 public sector banks will participate.If you want to give the exam for the post of PO in IBPS then you have to fill up the online form by visiting the IBPS website.the test will be conducted on 17/06/2012. The syallabus for the test are:
    1. Quantitative aptitude
    2. Mental ability
    3. English
    4. general awarness
    These are the parts which are included in the test.

    IBPS means Institute of Banking Personnel, it is generally conducted twice in a year for clerks, PO's and specialist officers posts of 19 banks which are under IBPS, it is common entrance exam conducted and it is necessary to qualify in this exam, if you want to get job in those 19 banks.

    If you qualify in that exam, you will be given valid score card through that you can apply for various interviews of various banks.

    IBPS Exam consists of 5 sections quantitative aptitude, reasoning, English, general awareness related to banking, and computer knowledge, every section consists of 50 questions, with negative marking, apart from this descriptive paper consists of 50 marks.

    IBPS takes the exam for the post of clerk , PO on behalf of 19 public sector banks .

    The eligibility criteria :
    For clerk:
    -> one should done their 12th from any recognized board .
    -> one age should be between 18-28 for general cast , 18-31 for obc , 18-33 for sc/st .

    For PO :
    -> one should done their graduation from any recognized university .
    -> one age should be between 21-30 for general cast , 21-33 for obc cast and 21-35 for sc/st cast .

    The exam pattern :
    Exam consist written part and then interview .
    Paper consists of five sections each of carry 50 objective type questions namely
    aptitude ,
    logical reasoning ,
    english ,
    general awareness and
    computer / marketing knowledge.


    One should get minimum require marks in each section for passing the exam

    How to prepare for the exam :

    Below i list some of the good book for the preparation for the IBPS exam like
    R.S.Aggarwal for the Aptitude and logical reasoning section .
    Wren & Martin , cbse std 5-10 english books for the english section .
    For the preparation of the general awareness section one should read the following news paper , magazine and books .

    You can take TOEFL preparation coeurss as well. Check out the colleges and universities in your area (are you in the US right now?) and see what kind of ESL classes they have. FYI in the Univ of California system (where I am an ESL teacher) ESL classes are always in the Extension Center, so keep in mind they may not be main campus classes.A cheaper alternative is to buy a TOEFL prep book
