Re: For how many times I am eligible to attend CSAT exam?

Number of Attempts allowed to appear for Civil Service Examination

General Category Candidates - 4 times

OBC - Other Backward Classes Candidates - 7 times

SC/ST - Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribe Candidates - No limit but only till 35 years of age

ESM - Ex-Servicemen Category Candidates - No limit but only till 35 years of age

So you may see that limitations to appear for civil service examination and if once you apply for prelims and appear for prelims examination then your attempt will be counted means there is no role of main examination in counting attempts for examination so you have to be careful about allowed attempts because examination is tough and you have to point out everything from the syllabus and learn very carefully then only appear for examination and if you feel that you are not confident about your preparation then you should not waste your one attempt for that examination and again prepare better than before then only you should enter for examination

For your satisfaction about every single detail of this examination, you must download the advertisement attached below released by UPSC board and get all official information

    All the best
