    Hi friend,

Okay,If you are in SSC standard then better read more about physics, chemistry and mathematics if u want to become an engineer.

And you have to qualify the above entrance test a get a good qualifying marks and get a seat in affliated universities.

And on your own interest you can choose your path to become an engineer. some of the various engineering branches are:

    ELECTRICAL AND COMMUNICATIONS ENGINEERING

    ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONICS ENGINEERING

    CIVIL ENGINEERING

    MECHANICAL ENGINEERING

    COMPUTER SCIENCE ENGINEERING

    MARINE ENGINEERING

    AERONAUTICAL ENGINEERING

    etc...

Re: How to become an Engineer after 12th?

Dear you must have a liking for a specific field of engineering as we all know that apart from the traditional branches which include Civil, Mechanical and Electrical, engineering offers a vista of branches and specialization options. One can opt for B.E/ B.Tech in the disciplines of Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics and Communication, Chemical, Aeronautic,Automobile, Ceramics, Environmental, Textile, Marine, Production engineering etc. Admission to the engineering courses is usually done on the basis of merit in the entrance exams ( like IIT-JEE, AIEEE, BITSAT, WBJEE, VITEEE, CUSAT, ISAT, etc ) conducted at the state or national level. Also many colleges and universities give direct admission based on the merit list ( based on XII board exams).

Re: How to become an Engineer after 12th?

    Hi,

To become an Engineer you must choose science as your stream in 11th and 12th std and Engineering as your graduation course.

Engineering is a course which will give you a bright future. First of all you must choose in what field your career path must be. Because there are many branches in Engineering. Every branch has its own bright scope. Working hard in any Engineering branch will give you a bright future. I can suggest you some of the Engineering courses which most of the people nowadays choose and consider as branch with good career prospects. They are

    • Mechanical Engineering
    • ECE
    • EEE
    • Computer Science Engineering
    • E & I
    • Chemical Engineering
    • Bio-Tech
    and etc.

For joining in any of these course you can directly approach the Engineering colleges offering these courses. If you want to join in any of the top level Colleges of India you must appear and clear entrance exams like AIEEE, IIT JEE, etc. Some private colleges conducts their own entrance exams like SRM college conducts SRMEEE and etc.

Thus, to become an Engineer you must appear in Entrance Exams, clear it and join in Engineering college complete the 4year Under Graduation course of BE.

IT IS ALSO GOOD THAT , IF YOU GO FOR DIPLOMA AFTER 10TH .

WITH DIPLOMA AS QUALIFICATION , YOU CAN APPLY FOR JUNIOR ENGINEER POSTS .
THERE ARE MANY BRANCHES IN DIPLOMA LIKE ,
    MECHANICAL .
    ELECTRICAL
    ELECTRONIC
    CIVIL , etc . .

IF YOU GO FOR ENGINEERING AFTER 12TH , ITI SI TOO GOOD FOR YOU TO GET DIFFERENT GOOD POSTS .
YOU WILL HAVE DIFFERENT BRANCHES LIKE ,
    ECE
    EEE
    CIVIL
    MECHANICAL

Re: How to become an Engineer after 12th?

If you have ambitions to become an engineer, then you should apply for 11th in science stream. You have to work hard from 11th standard itself. Should focus more on studies. You should try to score more then 80% of marks in exam board 12TH. Because it is based on the acceptance of the Engineering course in the list of merit. If the percentage of your score good marks in the exam 12TH Council may then request to be made of course. To apply for a degree in engineering must be completed 12th standard in science stream with Physics / Chemistry / Mathematics with minimum 80% marks from a recognized university. If you have a member of SC / u are given a candidate, and relax for 60% to 65% the percentage of marks. You must qualify in the exam AIEEE / BITSAT / IIT JEE-with a good percentage of marks. Final year may also apply to a qualified candidate for this entrance exam. If interested to apply for the entrance exam, you must complete 12TH science stream with 50% of the marks.
Therefore, I suggest you apply for a standard 11th in science stream after level 10.

    Dear sir/madam,
If you want to be an engineer after 12th then you have to complete first your 12th in the field of Non-medical. Some of the steps to be followed to become an engineer and these are as follows :
    - You must complete your 12th in the field of non-medical.
    - You must pass the 12th in PCM ( Physics, Chemistry and Maths).
    - You have to give the entrance exams after passing 12th like AIEEE, IIT, CET etc.
    - There is another option to become an engineer but this will be eligible for those students who want to pursue this course after 10th and that will be done by doing diploma for 3 years and after passing the exam of LEET then the student will get the direct admission in 2nd year of engineering.

Go for all the competitive exams and just crack with good marks.
Remember college matters more than your branch, if you will get a good college than automatically you will get a good placement
so try for a good college and if needed then drop for a year.
There are various exams other than iit-jee and aieee
    so try and try

    Hi

Engineering is that branch of Science which basically deals with the development of technology in terms of Electronics, Civil, Mechanical, Computers, IT, and others. So this has also become one of the most important and in demand courses in the present world.

In India there is a specific Eligibility Criteria which you need to fulfill in order to take up graduation in the Engineering Line. This is that you should be a minimum 12th pass from a recognized school or state board in India with at least 60% aggregate in your 12th boards.

Also you must have studied Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as your subjects in the 12th boards.

Now if you want to become an Engineer after your 12th boards, then you need to take part in the ENTRANCE Exams which take place all over the country. Some of them are IIT JEE, AIEEE, DCE, WB JEE, BITSAT, etc...

Once you clear any one of these, you can take admission in their respective colleges like IIT's, NIT's, BITS, etc..

There are private colleges also which doesn't require any Entrance Exam to be given. Hence you can try for them as well some of them being SRM University, LPU, Amity University, Manipal University, VIT, etc..

Engineering is a full time 4 years course and so you need to do that only after completion of which you would be granted the Engineering degree.

    Hope this helps

    All the best
