Re: How to apply for the bank exams?

To apply for the bank exam you should follow few things:

    1. Firstly wait for the banks to advertise for the vacant post in their respective banks.
    2. when they advertise you should throughly read the eligibility criteria.
    3. then go to the website of the bank which had advertised for the post (clerical or officer).
    4. In the website they will provide you a link to apply for that particular post.
    5. there you will get a challan form which you have to print and has to go to any of that bank branch and deposit the examination fee (which ever applicable)
    6. then after paying fee, you should go back to the website and there you will find a online form which you have to fill it. Please fill it carefully.
    7. after filling it you will get a registration no. and passwrod which you have to keep for future reference. you will also get these details in your e-mail which you had provided while applying.
8.Then wait for the admit card to come to your doorstep,in which they will mention the centre where you have to go an appear for the examination.

The books you should be reading for bank exam are

    1. english by wren and martin
    2. data interpretation by upakar publication
    3. reasoning by RS agarwal
    4. Computer knowledge published by mahindra institute.
    5. General Knowledge ( magazines like pratiyogita darpan, kiran and compettitive refresher).

    HI,
Both are better but The civil service exams are very difficult.
They will conduct exam once or twice for year. but every year most of the government banks are conducting exams for PO post and CLERK post.
If you try in all the banks then you can get job within a year.
so better to go for bank exams. you have many many bank exams in every month.
Presently vacancies are there in the following banks:
    ICICI
    South indian bank
    Federal bank
    KarnatakaBank etc
    All the best

Re: How to apply for the bank exams?

It is simple to apply for bank exam. But before you start filling up the online form, you have to pay certain amount to that particular bank in order to get the Transaction no,journal no,branch name, branch code.To get the Challan or Fee Deposit Receipt you need to go through that particular bank website to downlaod it & you will also get other information there.Once you paid that amount, you will now be eligible to fill the online form, it takes few minutes to fill but make sure you commit no mistake. After you filled the form, you will get password & Registration id for future reference & do not forget to take the hard copy of your online form.you should consider the books like R.S.Agrawal,Upkar's.
But for GK better if you start subscribing newspaper because it contains all the updates & full of knowledge.nothing is better than newspaper.

    The process would be -
    1. Through IBPS (common banking written exam), though there are few banks which still conduct their own PO exams like SBI etc.
    2. Apply to banks as and when they notify their vacancies
    3. Appear for the GD/PI post call
