    How to appear in IAS exam after BCA?

    I want to appear in IAS exam after my BCA but I am not getting how to do that. Can anyone please help me out.

    To appear for the IAS you have to give the UPSC Civil services Exams.

    This exam is conducted in three Stages:
    Prelims or CSAT
    Mains
    Interview

    If you clear the Prelims exams than only, you can apply for the Mains exams and if you clear the Mains exams than you can give the Interview.
    Based on the Final Merit list, you will get the departments.
    This exam is held to fill posts in 24 departments like IAS, IPS, IFS, IRS etc

    Next UPSC Prelims exams would be held on 19th May 2013
    Notfication would be released this month only
    Detailed notification would be released on the UPSC website www.upsc.gov.in

    You can apply for the Prelims Exams online through the website
    http://upsconline.nic.in/

    Educational Qualifications :Graduation pass in any Stream


    AGE Limit for the UPSC conducted Civil Services exams is
    Minimum 21 years for all the candidates
    Maximum 30 years for the General Candidates

    Maximum 33 years for the OBC Candidates

    Maximum 35 years for the SC/ST Candidates


    ATTEMPTS- General candidates- 4 times
    OBC- 7 times
    SC/ST- No such restriction

    for this post an entrance exam is conducted by upsc.

    to apply for ias you must have to follow following criteria

    1.must be indian citizen

    2.must having bachelor degree .with recognize university

    about age

    must be varying between 21 to 30 year .

    Yes you are eligible to appear for Indian Administrative Services Examination after obtaining BCA degree.

    IAS is a civil service examination conducted by Union Public Service Commission(UPSC).

    ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR IAS:

    -> MINIMUM ACADEMIC QUALIFICATION- Candidate have to complete Bachelor's degree or any equivalent degree from a government affiliated University. Final year bachelor degree students can also apply. No minimum marks required in Bachelor's degree in order to qualify for IAS.

    -> AGE LIMIT- Age of the candidate must be greater than 21 years and less than 30 years as on 1st August of the year of Examination. 3 years age relaxation is given for any OBC candidate and 5 years for SC/ST and residence of Jammu and Kashmir region, 10 years age relaxation for any Physically Handicapped candidates.

    -> NATIONALITY- Citizen of India,subject of Nepal or Bhutan and Tibetan refugee who came Indian permanently before 1st January 1962 is eligible for IAS

    -> MAXIMUM ATTEMPTS-

    General OBC SC/ST Physically Disables
    4 7 No restriction 7

    PHYSICALLY STANDARD- Candidate have to Physically fit with no disease like colorblindness.

    APPLICATION PROCESS IN IAS

    All candidates have to apply Online for IAS in the website given Below

    http://www.upsconline.gov.in

    Application fee is Rs 100/- for all general male candidates and no fee is to be paid for any females candidates and SC/ST/OBC/PD candidates.

    Fee can be remitted to any branch of SBI or can be paid online net banking or Debit Card.

    RECRUITMENT STEPS IN IAS:

    # Civil Service Aptitude Test.

    # Civil Service Main Examination.

    # Interview.

    # Medical Test.

    As you have completed BCA you are eligible to apply IAS exam. So to become IAS , You ahve to appear Civil Service exam which is conducted by UPSC every year.



    The exam consists of 3 stages for selecting candidates:


    Preliminary exam.
    Main exam.
    Interview.



    Eligibility for the civil service exam:


    - You must have done your graduation in any streams from a recognized college .

    - You must be between 21 to 30 years and there is some relaxation given to SC/ST.

    - The Age relaxation is applicable for SC, ST, OBC and other Reserved Category Candidates.


    SC, ST Candidates - 5 year relaxation.
    OBC Candidates - 3 Year Relaxation.



    - No of attempts : The number of attempts you can take is limited and its different for each category students.


    4 for general students
    7 for the OBC
    Unlimited for SC/ST




    Exam pattern:

    The Exam is divided into two phases


    Preliminary phase: 2 papers which carries 200 marks each


    If you clear in the preliminary exam you can appear for the main exam.

    Yes you can appear for IAS after completing Degree
    See am giving you complete eligibility and subjects in IAS and exam pattern also
    IAS is a civil service exam conducted by UPSC board.

    Age limit :
    1. The age limit for civil service exam is 21-30 years.


    Age relaxations :
    1. Relaxation for 3 years for obc
    2. Relaxation for 5years is given for sc/st's


    Number of times for writing the exam :
    1. The no.of chances for filling the form is
    i. General category-4,
    ii. OBC-7
    iii. No limit for sc/st


    Educational qualification :
    1. Candidates must complete graduation from recognized board in India.

    The exam pattern of IAS :
    1. IAS exam has 2 papers i.e., preliminary exam and mains exam

    After passing preliminary exam only you can write the mains exam

    Dear before appearing for IAS examination you should apply for that then UPSC board will approve your call letter according to that you can appear for exam and before that you should possess a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university and if you are in final year then also you can apply for this exam

    Your age should be between 21-30 years to apply for this examination before and once you get registered then you will get call letter for examination to appear for preliminary exam

    Preliminary Exam will have 2 objective type papers that are - General Studies and CSAT - civil service aptitude test in that each of the paper contains 200 marks and passing in prelims exam is necessary by the candidate who want to get admission for main examination that is why you have to work well and more to pass this exam

    Main examination will have seven conventional type papers in that passing in each paper is compulsory and mainly focus over General Studies because four papers are there for this subject and one will be for essay writing and comprehension in english and two papers based on the subject that you will choose for main exam

    Because for apply IAS exam the minimum Education qualification is Graduation degree in any stream from a recognized University.

    IAS stands for Indian Administrative Service.

    I.A.S --- INDIAN ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES ..

    It comes under the "" Union Public Service Commission ""

    And for this you will have to write the "" C.S.A.T "" exam


    C.S.A.T. --- CIVIL SERVICES APTITUDE TEST

    So you must have a minimum of GRADUATION from a recognized university

    And as you have completed B.C.A .. it is considered as a GRADUATION ..

    So you no need to worry at all


    The minimum age you must have attained is " 21 " years

    And also the Maximum age is allowed up to " 30 " years

    Of course there will be an Age relaxation for the reserved candidates ..


    Civil Services preliminary Exam ::

    Notification will be released on --- 17.05.2014

    last Date for the Receipt of the Applications --- 16.06.2014

    Date of Commencement of Exam --- 24.08.2014 ..

    IAS stands for Indian Administrative Service

    As the Educational Qualification mention by you that is you have completed your your BCA that is Bachelor of Computer Application and asked for that weather you are eligible for the IAS examination or Not then YES, you can apply for the IAS Examinaiton.....

    A candidate who have completed their Graduation in any discipline or pursuing the final year of their graduation degree are eligible to sit for the IAS examination......

    IAS exam is conducted under the Civil service exam by the Union Public Service Commission only one time in the year, so, you have to understand the format of CSE exam.....

    Civil Service has Two Written Exam stages:-

    • Preliminary exam and
    • Main Exam

    Exam Pattern:-


    ## Preliminary exam consists each paper of 200 marks.

    ## This session a candidate must have to choose one optional Subjects along with the Regular Subjects.

    ## While, each of Main exam papers of 300 marks.
