    Hello friend,

You can be employed on big farm,

in any factory producing farm machinery and implements,

    irrigation systems,

post harvest management and so on.

Do not expect some big Govt. job

The role of agriculture is to grow food, fiber, building materials for the world in general as well as to provide a decent living for the farmer and his family.

As well as the responsibility for turning over the land to the next generation in a better condition than we received it.

Agriculture encompasses Agronomy (the culture of field crops and the science and care of the soil that they grow in), Horticulture (the culture of vegetables, fruit and flowers), Aquaculture (cultivation of fish, shellfish, and other aquatic organisms) ,Silviculture (the agriculture of trees), and Animal husbandry (the raising and care of animals).

While the role of agriculture is fairly easy to define, the scope of agriculture would extend far beyond this.

While not directly involved in agriculture, the people who sell farm machinery are dependent on agriculture, the same goes to the steel workers who make the steel for the machinery, and the miners who mine the coal used to make the steel.

The same can be said about the millers of the grain, the manufacture of processed foods, the grocer who sells the food.

The list goes on and on, so it becomes a problem of where to draw the line on the scope of agriculture.

Just the fact that we all need to eat agriculture touches all our lives.

If you think in terms of returns (money wise),

it can if one uses his brains and does farming according to needs of the people.

You have to be a good sales man.

I hope you are satisfied with the answer.

    All the best for future!!

    Regards,

    Harshada.
