CSIR-Net exam is held for Science subjects like Physics, Chemistry etc, so you are not eligible to give the CSIR-NET exams.
But yes, you can give the UGC-NET exams
Minimum Eligibilty to sit in the UGC-NET exams is Post Graduation with Minimum 55% marks for the General and OBC candidates
Minimum 45% marks for the SC/ST candidates
Age- Maximum 28 years , if you want to apply for the Junior Research Fellowships (JRF)
But, if you want to apply for Lectureship, than there is no age cap.
NET exams are held twice each year in June and December.
First thing is that you can download the syallabus of your Subject Geograpahy from the UGC website www.ugcnetonlie.in
Since this exams require lot of theoritical knowledge, i would suggest that you should stick to the Post Graduation Books of your subject.
Just read each chapter from your books as per the syallabus of UGC-NET for Geograpahy.
Buy one or two books for the objective MCQ questions..
Now UGC-NET exams are held in the objective mode only.
