Re: Eligibility to study M.Tech for a candidate having secured 49% in B.Tech?

Eligibility for Admission in M.Tech Course after completing B.Tech

Candidate should have passed bachelor's degree in Engineering/Technology - BE or B.Tech in any discipline from a recognized university

Should have scored at least 50% marks in graduation as aggregate and 45% marks for SC/ST category candidates

Most of the universities and reputed institutes provides admission in M.Tech on the basis of percentage marks of bachelor's degree but there are so many other reputed and highly ranked universities in India that provides admission in M.Tech program only after passing entrance examination conducted by that university

So you should appear for entrance examination of that university and pass that test with higher percentage marks then you will get admission and uniquely you can appear for GATE - Grade Aptitude Entrance Test and get admission in universities for M.Tech program but you should try to secure marks as higher as possible then only you will get admission and once you failed in this exam then you will be banned for three years to appear for this examination that is why appear for this examination only after completing your preparation

    All the best
