    Hi friend,
    - PCS stands for public civil services.
    - The minimum qualification required to to appear in the exam is graduation in any stream.
    - The minimum age required to give the exam is 21 years and the maximum age is 30 years for the general class candidates and some age relaxation has been granted to the other classes like SC, ST , OBC etc.
    - There are mainly four attempts should be provided to the candidate for appearing in the PCS exam.
    - A citizen of an Indian origin is allowed to appear in the exam.
    - In the PCS test, the first stage is preliminary test in which the objective type question will be asked. After successfully completion of the prelim test then you will be eligible for the PCS mains test in which you have to choose the subjects from the list mentioned under the syllabus. This is subjective based test. And when you will successfully pass the mains test then they will call you for the interview.

    You must have the required qualification and age if you want to apply for PCS Examination.

    You also must have a Graduation degree from a recognised University which is the basic qualification for this exam.

    The age required for PCS exam is between 21 to 35 years for general category. There is age relaxation available for other categories.

    The selection is totally based on the performance in the preliminary exam, mains exam and interview. Hence you have to be very well prepared for it then only you will crack it.

    3.SC/ST has the relaxation of 5% marks.

    PCS stands for Punjab Civil Service

    Eligibility Conditions are:
    Educational qualifications are:
    You must have a bachelor degree in any discipline from any recognized college or university
    You should have pass your Matriculation Examination with Punjabi as one of the compulsory or elective subjects or any other equivalent examination in Punjabi Language.

    Age limit:
    Your age should be between 21-37 years as on the first day of January in the respective exam year
    But in case of post of Deputy Superintendent police in Punjab Police Service your age should be between 21-28 years as on first day of January in exam year
    Age relaxation is provided as per rules
    For Sc/St the upper age limit is upto 5 years
    For Ph candidates the upper age limit is upto 10 years except in case of post of DSP

    No. of attempts:
    General Category maximum is 4 attempts
    For ex-service man category the maximum is 3 attempts

    physical Fitness in case of DSP:
    Height Male 5 Feet 7 Inches
    Height Female 5 Feet 3 Inches

    Chest applicable only for Male
    Unexpanded 33 Inches
    Expanded 34.5 Inches

    • PCS refers to punjab civil services and this examination is conducted by the Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC).
    • This has the three stages which are preliminary exam, main exam and interview.
    • As per the requirement of qualification, you must have completed the graduation in any stream from an university which is recognised.
    • Even final year student are eligibile to appear in the preliminary exam.
    • It's also necessary that you must have studied punjabi subject in class 10th.
    • The age limit is from 21 years to 37 years.
    • Age relaxation is applicable here.

    P.C.S -- PUNJABI CIVIL SERVICES ...

    You must have a minimum of GRADUATION from a recognized university

    You must have taken as Punjabi as one of compulsory or elective subjects in matriculation ..

    You must have a minimum of 21 YEARS

    And the maximum age is allowed up to 30 years

    There will be an age relaxation for the reserved candidates

    PCS test is simply known as Punjab Civil service examination a combined competitive exam held by the Punjab Public Service commission for recruitment of some posts or services.
    Educational Qualification:
    1.The candidate should possess a degree of bachelor in any discilpline from a recognized university/institution.
    2.The students of final year degree course is also apply the exam & appear the preliminary exams.

    Age:
    candidate should not be less than 21 years & more than 37 year of age .
    The upper age limit is also relaxed for some reserved categories.

    Nationality:
    The candidate must be an Indian citizen.
    These are the minimum qualification required for apply the PCS test.

    Dear Friend,

    QUALIFICATIONS & ELIGIBILITY:

    • Candidate should possess a degree of bachelor in any discipline from a recognized university or institution.
    • Candidate shall be eligible for appearing in the exam unless he has passed the Matriculation examination with Punjabi as one of the compulsory or elective subjects.
    • Age limit 21 - 28 years.
    • In case of Deputy Superintendent of Police, candidates belonging to SC or BC have a flexibility of 5 years than a general candidate.
    • Age relaxation in upper age limit is is up to 10 years for the disabled persons of Punjab.

    To apply for Public Service Commission Examination examination of states and UPSC, you should have

    Passed bachelor's degree examination of a recognized university in any subject and final year pursuing candidates are also eligible for prelims examination ( No percentage marks required for this test in graduation)

    Candidate must not have attained the age of 30 years to apply for this exam and minimum age should be 21 years

    Upper age relaxation will be provided to SC/ST/OBC as per government guidelines that is 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST

    Selection Procedure : There will be following stages in selection

    Prelims examination
    Mains Examination
    Personality Test

    Number of Attempts - General Category - 4 times, 7 times for OBC and no limit for 35 years

    Educational Qualifications:

    The candidate should possess a bachelor degree in any discipline from a recognized university or institution; Provided that the candidate may be permitted to take preliminary examination while studying for the qualifying degree. However, the candidate shall be required to produce proof of qualifying the degree course for being eligible to take the Main Competitive Examination.

    No candidate shall be eligible for appearing in the Preliminary Competitive Examination, unless he/she has passed the Matriculation Examination with Punjabi as one of the compulsory or elective subjects or any other equivalent examination in Punjabi language, which may be specified by the Government from time to time.

    Age Limit: Candidates Age Should be between 21-40 years as on 01-07-2013.Age Relaxations will be extended as per the Govt of Uttar Pradesh rules.

    Selection Process : candidates will be selected on the basis of Written Test & Interview.

    The minimum qualification required to to appear in the exam is to hold any degree with 50 % marks.

    The minimum age required to give the exam is 21 years and the maximum age is 30 years.
    some age relaxation has been granted to the classes like SC, ST , OBC etc.
