    Eligibility for Indian Railway Apprentice?

    I want to do railway apprentice in the indian railways so please tell me the eligibility for the same .dhanywad.

    • A candidate must have attained the age of 17 years and must not have attained the age of 21 years on 1st August, 2009, i.e. he must have been born not earlier than 2nd August, 1988 and not later than 1st August, 1992.The upper age limit is relaxable as follows:
    • Up to a maximum of five years if a candidate belongs to a Scheduled Caste or a Scheduled Tribe.
    • Up to a maximum of three years in the case of candidates belonging to Other Backward Classes who are eligible to avail of reservation applicable to such candidates.
    • Upto a maximum of five years if a candidate had ordinarily been domiciled in the State of Jammu & Kashmir during the period from the 1st January, 1980 to the 31st day of December, 1989.
    • Upto a maximum of three years in the case of Defence Services personnel disabled in operations during hostilities with any foreign country or in a disturbed area and released as a consequence there of:
    • Upto a maximum of five years in the case of ex-servicemen including Commissioned Officers and ECOs/SSCOs who have rendered at least five years Military Service as on 1st August, 2009 and have been released

    Hi,
    The Railways apprentice examination s conducted by the UPSC to recruit a handful of candidates to the undergraduate program in Mechanical engineering at the Indian Railways institute of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering.

    Eligilibility for this exam
    Candidate should be passed 12th class with science Stream or Diploma in related subject (Electrician, Electronics)

    The selection procedure for the combined engineering service examination comprises two stage
    1) Written Examination carrying a maximum of 600 marks.
    2) Personality Test carrying a maximum of 200 marks in respect of only those candidates who are declared qualified on the results of written examination

    Dear friend,

    The SCRA exam is conducted by the UPSC. The application of the SCRA 2013 will be open in the month of October 2012.
    The SCRA 2012 exams are recently held on 29.01.2012. So, you can apply in the SCRA 2013.

    Eligibility Criteria:

    1. Educational Qualification: must have passed in the first or second division, the Intermediate or an equivalent Examination of a University or Board approved by the Government of India with Mathematics and at least one of the subjects Physics and Chemistry as subjects of the examination.Graduates with Mathematics and at least one of the subjects Physics and Chemistry as their degree subjects may also apply

    OR

    Must have passed in the first or second divsion, the Higher Secondary (12 years) Examination under 10 plus 2 pattern of School Education with Mathematics and at least one of the subjects Physics and Chemistry as subjects of the examination

    OR

    Must have passed in the first or second division the Pre-Engineering Examination of a University, approved
    by the Government of India

    OR

    Must have passed in the first or second division the Pre-Professional/Pre-Technological Examination ofany Indian University or a recognised Board, with Mathematics and at least,one of the subjects Physics and Chemistry as subjects of the examination conducted one year after the Higher Secondary or Pre-University stage.



    2. Age Limit: The minimum age limit is 17 years for all category.

    And upper age limit as given below:

    1. Gen Category: 21 years
    2. SC/ST : Relaxation of 5 years
    3. OBC: Relaxation of 3 years
    4. upto a maximum of five years if a candidate had ordinarily been domiciled in the State of Jammu & Kashmir during the period from the 1st January, 1980 to the 31st day of December, 1989
    5. upto a maximum of three years in the case of Defence Services personnel disabled in operations during hostilities with any foreign country or in a disturbed area and released as a consequence thereof

    The important qualifications required for attending Indian Railway Apprentice examination is as follows –


    - You should have completed their 12th class with science stream with PCM as their main subjects.

    - The age limit for this Exam is 17 to 21 years.

    SCRA stands for special class railway apprentices, This examination is conducted by union public service commission for every year.

    Eligibility criteria for SCRA:
    >>The candidate should be a indian
    >>The candidate should be complete the degree from the recognized university.
    >>The candidate age should between 21 to 30 yrs.
    >>The relaxation age for sc/st 5 yrs, and The relaxation age for 3 yrs.

    SCRA Test Educational Qualification:

    2.) University or board is of govenment approved.
    3.) Mathematics and at least one of the subjects Physics and Chemistry as subjects of the examination.
