Re: Eligibility for IITJEE in coming year?

From next year, AIEEE and IIT-JEE are going to merge together forming a single entrance known as ISEET.
It will have two phase i.e. IIT-Mains and IIT-Advanced.
IIT-Mains is gateway to AIEEE Colleges while after qualifying both Mains and Advanced. You may get selected in IITs.
A candidate can appear in IIT-Advanced only when he/she is shortlisted in top 20% percentile of his board.
Since, you belong from ISC Board. So, it would be nearly above 85%. ISC students must have at least 85% or above to be in the top 20 percentile.
Because, ISC students get high percentage than other board students.

Re: Eligibility for IITJEE in coming year?

The IIT Council, that included the directors of all the 15 IITs agreed to implement the new admission format of IIT-JEE from 2013 by fixing a new eligibility criteria for 2013 under which successful candidates would have to be in the top 20 percentile of their respective boards to get a final rank in the IIT-JEE

The new format for IIT-JEE 2013 does away with the existing eligibility criteria of 60% marks in boards.

    IIT JEE Eligibility
The minimum academic qualification for admission through IIT JEE is 10+2 (class XII). Candidates appearing for their final examinations of 10+2 in 2011 are also eligible to apply. The candidate can appear for this test only twice and that too in consecutive years; once in the final year of 12th and then in the next year. Candidate’s eligibility also depends on his/her score in 10+2 (class XII). A minimum score of 60% is mandatory.

    IIT JEE Syllabus

    • Physics ISEET syllabus for Physics will cover topics like Electrostatics, Current Electricity, Magnetic Effects of Current and Magnetism, Electromagnetic Induction and Alternating Currents, Optics and Modern Physics.
    • Chemistry ISEET syllabus for Chemistry will cover topics like Physical chemistry, Atomic structure and chemical bonding, Energetics, Inorganic chemistry, Organic chemistry.
    • Mathematics ISEET syllabus for Mathematics will cover topics like Algebra, Trigonometry, Analytical geometry, Differential and integral calculus, vectors.

      IIT JEE Exam Pattern

The IIT JEE exam, divided into two phases — Main and Advance, together will indicate a candidate’s scholastic level and aptitude for science and engineering. IIT JEE Main will assess objectivity in the area of test comprehension, critical thinking and logical reasoning. The IIT JEE Advance will test the problem-solving ability of students in the basic science subjects and mathematics.

IIT JEE 2013 will be conducted in two parts —IIT JEE Main & Advance — in April or May 2013. The exams will be of three hours each and will be held on a single day.
