NET - National Eligibility Test is maintained by UGC to find out various sharp minded lecturers to work in various educational institutes of government and support education system of India and for those candidates who wants to become Lecturer will have to pass UGC NET Entrance Examination then only they will be eligible for that rank

If you have passed M.Tech then you are eligible to apply for this test because minimum required educational qualification is PG in any stream from a reputed university and your percentage marks are also more than required which are 70% when UGC board ask for only 55% marks in Master's Degree and 50% marks for reserved category candidates

There is no age limit or bar to apply for this test means if you have crossed 50 years of age then also may apply for this examination and may prove their eligibility to become lecturer

This test is conducted twice a year where NET I conducted in June and NET II conducted in December of the year so you can apply for upcoming UGC NET II examination that will be issued in September- October of 2013 with all required details till that time, you can visit at www.ugcnetonline.in and get more details as - Syllabus, Question Papers, Important Dates, Previous Results, Examination pattern etc.
