No, with 12th as your qualification you are not eligible to apply for IBPS Exam.

    Eligibility for IBPS Clerk:

Educational qualification: Any degree from recognized university.

    Age Criteria:

    Minimum: 20 years
    Maximum: 28 years

Upper age relaxation for reserved category candidates is as follows:

    3 years for OBC.
    5 years for SC/ST
    10 years for PWD.

So, first complete your graduation and then apply for Bank jobs.

IBPS conducts examination for Bank PO and clerical posts every year twice. So you can apply for IBPS exam during May/June and Nov/December.

You must be a Graduate in any discipline to apply for IBPS PO and clerical job.

You can apply for IBPS exam through their website online. Only online application procedure is there for applying and no other way of application is accepted.

Fee is paid through Bank challan or Net banking or debit card.

After applying you have to wait till the exam date for downloading admit card . It will be available on IBPS site before the exam date. You have to take the print out and appear at the examination.

Without admit card you will not be allowed to appear for exam.

The paper will have 5 sections and there will be negative marking. If you fail in any of the sections then you will not qualify. You must pass in each and every section to be eligible for interview.

Merit is prepared on the basis of written exam and objective type paper.

Re: Eligibility criteria of IBPS exam for 12th passed candidate?

Sorry to say but you are not eligible for the IBPS clerk exam on the bases of 12th marks .

Because the criteria for the IBPS clerk exam is below :

=> one must be graduated in any stream .

    => Age limit :
    18-28 for general cast
    3 years relaxation for obc
    5 years relaxation for sc/st
    5 years relaxation for ex-serviceman
    10 years relaxation for pwd

So you have to complete your graduation if you want to give the exam other wise you can't eligible for the exam .

So i advise you to at least complete your graduation so that you will give the exam .

    good luck..

Re: Eligibility criteria of IBPS exam for 12th passed candidate?

    Hi Friend,

The Rules of IBPS exam has been changed this year. Previously the minimum qualification is 12th standard but now the rule is changed and the Minimum qualification is a Degree in any stream in any recognized college.
To apply either for Clerk post or for PO post you must have Degree pass with minimum of 55%.
And your age should be maximum 28 years for Clerk post and 30 years for PO post and age relaxation is provided as per government rules.
So, dear friend the minimum 12th pass is not required you must have degree.

    Thank you...
