    CLAT is acronym for Common Law Admission Test.

    It is an all India level entrance test conducted for admission into LLB and LLM courses in National Law Universities of our country.

    CLAT Eligibility Criteria for LLB:
    1. Class 12th passed with at least 45% marks, if your are either SC or ST then 40% marks would be enough

    2. Your age should be below 20 years, for SC/ST the upper limit is 22 years.

    If you fulfill above two criteria then you are eligible to write CLAT.

    CLAT (Common Law Admission Test) is entrance exam conducted by National Law schools/Universities for the students who wish to do higher studies in Law(for undergraduate and post graduates courses)

    Eligibility criteria for Under graduate programs :-

    Candidate who pass 10+2 or equivalent exam from recognized university with minimum of 50% marks (45% in case of SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates)

    Final year candidates are also eligible

    Eligibility for Post graduate programs:-

    Candidate must have obtained LI.B or B.L. or equivalent degree from recognized university with minimum of 55% marks(50% in case of SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates)

    Candidates who are doing final semester of course are also eligible.

    Undergraduate Programmers (LLB) –

    1. Candidates who wish to join this course must have a pass in class 12 with a minimum score of 50 percent marks. (5% relaxation for SC/ST/PH)

    Postgraduate Programmers (LLM) –

    • CLAT refers to Common Law Admission Test, this is a National level entrance exam.
    • To be eligibile for this test, you must have completed the class 12th in any of the stream from the recognised board.
    • You should have minimum 45% marks in class 12th and if you are from the sc/st category then minimum 40% marks is the requirement.
    • If you have appeared in 12th exam and still awaiting the result, then also you can apply for it.
    • The age of your's should not be above 20 years otherwise you will not be eligible.

    Common Law Admission Test is conducted to alote seats avilable in various law colage for coarse of LLB. The eligbility criterea for the same is as folows.
    1 Candidate must have passed 12th with minimum mark limit of 50% from any recognised board in India or from abroad. But remember frend board must be recognised by NCERT.
    2 Candidates age should not be above 20years. Relaxation in age criteria is made for reserved category candidates.
    The paper consist of question from folowing subjects.

    3 Mental ability.

    After completion of B.Com or when you are in final year you will be eligible to apply for CLAT (Common Law Admission Test).

    So you can apply for it but you have to pass B.Com. before the admission into Law Course. As you are Graduate means you are eligible for 3 years Law course.


    The age should be below 30 years of for this examination. Although age relaxation is given to those who belong to reserved category.

    Selection will be based on the written examination and those who score top marks will get admission into top University.

    Exam Pattern:
